I just came from the mall and there was this clearance sale of kitchen items going on. People were flocking and items were selling like hot potatoes. I was tempted myself and even picked up a few things, but then, I paused...do I really need these things? I ended up with only one item. A candy glass platter of my favorite color. lol.
And I thought, do these people really need the items they were picking up or were they just lured with the very idea of a "sale?" Perhaps, if one pause to consider, the money they use to buy these items could be put to better use.
Sale really is a very tempting word. You have to have a very strong will to resist from buying during "sales" particularly when it is really not necessary.
But what do you think?

My husband is always getting irked at me when we are out and about doing what needs to be done. I come across something that is on sale and "WANT" it... but always stand there and debate and debate over it because it's a "want" and not a "need". he always tells me, if you want it, get it. But I can't ever justify spending money on something that's just a want, so I always end up walking out of the stores with the needs. Which in the end, saves us.

Good for you, I mean, really. For me it is a struggle between wants and needs though more often than not, I end up with the need. I wish I could end up with the need always. Though the candy platter, it was because I got attracted with the color. lol. Thanks for your response.

Yeah sometimes we compulsively buy stuff we don't need. Whenever i'm out in a mall or somewhere, i just remember to buy what i need and not something i know will end up in some corner of my room.

Yes, that is the word! Compulsive buying. And often, they end up somewhere just gathering dust and space. Thanks for your response.
