I have posted some emotion related issues here. I got different views, thoughts, and advices as well. I actually tried listening to music. But what I really want to do is to learn to play atleast one music instrument. I am not that music inclined person though, but I usually carried away of those nice rhythm easily. Wanting to learn the keyboard is because it does affect my emotion, it's just like gently caress my heart. I feel like it soothe my emotion even in my bad mood.
If given a chance, what music instrument do you prefer and how it does affect your emotion? Care to share it?

I've always wanted the guitar, I was taught how to read/apply chords on the guitar by my neighbor. I only know simple strumming, and till now I don't get to familiarize myself with plucking.

I've played the piano since I was a little kid but since I was kind of forced to take lessons and do exams I didn't really enjoy it that much. Now that I don't actually have to do it and can play whatever pieces and songs I like in whatever style I like, I enjoy it a lot more. I don't think my "technique" is as good as when I was practising for a set amount of time everyday but I can be more expressive now.
I'd also like to play guitar and bass.

The keyboard is a lovely instrument, but if you can, you would find the piano even better for emotional purposes. You can do everything with a piano, and can put much more emotion into your playing than you can if you are playing on a keyboard.
I can play a great number of musical instruments, and I have found that the mastery of any of them was just as exciting. The moment that you realise you could play anything that any puts infront of you is absolutely amazing.

I dream to play guitar. But then I don't have enough time to look for someone to teach me. Hearing the tune of the guitar makes me feel alive. It gives me harmony and peace. When someone play with it, I can't keep myself to look for the tune. Its like someone special who have just cared for you...

The first instrument I ever fell in love with was the ocarina. .I did not pick an ocarina up till this year though. The first instrument I played was the trumpet though in middle school, in marching band. It was fun but I could only play it outdoors or at school since we don't have soundproof walls at our apartment. .I didn't own a trumpet though since I couldn't afford my own. I also have a keyboard I play occasionally that my parents bought me, but I can't read piano music, I play by ear (:. I usually play by ear whenever I play my ocarina too. .I would love to own and learn how to play the violin one day, but its way too expensive for me. . .and I can't spare anytime right now learning it even if I could afford. My ocarina is portable though so I can practice on the go :)

When I was a teenager..I always wanted to learn the guitar.., yet when I enrolled myself to a guitar lesson.., it wasn't as easy as watching the musician play after all.., I knew how to position my hands on the right places on every chord that was taught yet.., when it comes to strumming and plucking.., I can't seem to get the right tune..heehee.., so I gave up..=)

The guitar is the simplest and most affordable way to learn a music instrument. And through it you can just chill out with your friends and sing a song wherever and whenever. Unlike others like the piano, yes, it can play solo but, you can't bring it anywhere! Others are already very expensive to keep up, unless you are rich.lol
In our family, we are musically inclined. On my father's side they all know how to play the guitar, piano... My grandfather plays the violin, my grandmother and my father plays the flute. On my mother's side, I don't remember anything..lol since I am not close to them. I know how to play the piano and the guitar. I have tried the flute but it was really very difficult! I have tried the violin, it seems that easy.. I just need someone to teach me!!!! =p My bro is practicing drums and he is really my idol in playing the guitar and bass.
It really affects my emotion. I really love to play when I am happy and in the mood. I love jammin with my bro. We would prefer any 2010 released/type of music. We share new songs, tabs/chords... all kinds of ideas and thoughts about music!

It seems that its not the instrument only that can soothe your emotion but your supportive family as well. And I pity you, your family must be gifted by talent in music. And nice to have a bro for sure whom you can jam with. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this post. Happy mylotting.

Piano. Maybe orchestral strings. Best in combination in each other. Listening to music can bring you unbelievable feeling but if you are playing it, you feel like to be emotion which try to reach their target on your own. I realy enjoy playing for peace on my soul, but It it touch souls of the others that realy bring tears in my eyes.

I've always been curious as to what it will feel like playing the saxophone. After watching 'Dying Young' and hearing Kenny G's music in the background I just felt that the saxophone clearly conveys the emotion that the musician would like to express.
