I am wondering if anyone buys lottery tickets, if so how much do you spend per week. Do you think you make money on them or lose more. How about the online drawings like powerball or mega millions. Have you won any big prizes? My biggest was $7 on powerball I have no luck at the online drawings. I only purchase like $2 worth a week in online. Every paycheck I allow my self $5 in instant tickets, or I would spend way to much on them. Last week I tripled my money. If I don't put a limit on myself I would buy alot of instant tickets.

I do not play the lottery on a regular basis or buy the instant tickets anymore. However, when the jackpots get really high, I will go and spend $5 or so on some lottery tickets and dream of the possibilities. I'll also throw a couple dolars into a work pot if people are collecting. Shoot, I wouldn't want to be the only one left at work if they hit the big time.
I did know someone who won one of the big prizes from the scratch off instant games. They won like $30000 on one ticket. I don't think I've ever won more than $25.

$100 was the most I have ever won on a scratch off. That was a few years ago though.

I on occasion will buy Powerball tickets when it is really high, even though I don't like to spend the money. The chance of winning sucks me in for sure. What that kind of money would do for my family and all of the friends I cherish, makes me always find a few dollars to spend on it. I have in the past also bought scratch offs and have won a few dollars here and there.

I usually buy $1 worth of powerball when it is really high also. Just because you can't win if you don't try.
