I have been driving too but never in highways. Then I found a driving school that provides basic lessons for just $30. An expert driving teacher accompanied me to highway and assured me that it will be safe since there is a break on the passenger seat so he can step on it when necessary. So my fear of the highway was gone. Just a little doze of "highway confidence" was all I needed.Maybe you can try it too!

Hello. Yes, I have been driving my family car along highways, and I enjoy that very much. It is my favorite way of relaxation over the weekends, driving along highways, enjoying the pleasant scenic country-side sceneries. I do that almost every weekend, provided of course the weather conditions are favorable.

I have driven on highways quite a bit. I have also ridden with someone that has driven over the highway before too. I have this scary phobia of being in the car on the highway and the driver loses control and we all will fall down off of the highway. I am like this when it comes to bridges too. It is very scary. When I am in the car, my stomach feels like it is heaving. Like as if I am going down on a roller coaster at the fair. It is very scary. I do try to avoid driving over the highway if I can help it. Once I get on it, the car moves so fast off of it.

I'm sorry u have this fear. I drive on the hwy. around here. I live in a small town & i use to drive away more but have quit. Can't handle the big city traffic anymore. I have a friend that has pratically given up driving period & i fuss at her. I tell her to just get in thyat car & drive, i guess i'll tell u the same thing. Just start out slowly till u get your nreve back. I hope it's soon. GOOD LUCK.
