iPhone are like $199 and $299 in USA but why in other countries cost insanely high? Of course there is import tax and exchange rate but the differences is about 1,000 to 1,500 local currency?
Don't you think that is way too high?
For example, iPhone is coming to my country this month or next and the price is about RM3,100 for 16 GB.
Insane right?!

The price of the iphone is high because they have to tailor the price to the country's specific needs. It covers shipping, and cellphone plan adjustments that come with no using AT&T. It is a little insane, but what I do is I ask one of my friends in the US to buy for me then they send it to my home. It's fast, it's easy and it's cheaper.
