the poles are closed, and the results are in it seems that incumbents are in danger of loosing their seats. Tea Party Candidates are winning the primaries. I wonder if now the Tea Party will be acknowledged as a political force or still be called a fringe group

The most powerful effect the Tea Party will have appears to be its ability to get Republican nominees who cannot possibly win a general election.

How can you say that when the general election hasn't even happened yet? Most people thought these candidates couldn't possibly win a primary election and yet they did.

I've been voting third party candidates and urging others to do so since my third or fourth presidential vote, either 1984 or 1988. 2004 is an exception when I voted for a repubocrat presidential candidate in a vain attempt to get the one then in the White House out of it. Are there any moderate Tea Party members, or are they all extremists? I'm tired of extremists getting all the publicity.

The major problem with the tea party is that it HAS become the main stream. In doing this, it wandered away from it's libertarian roots and a lot of these groups have been hi-jacked by republicans. It isn't about being further left...or centrist, or moderate. It should stay based on the larger spectrum of libertarian vs totalitarian rather than being caste in a limited of right/center/left.

The Tea Party has a political force behind it that seems to be going after the Rs and giving them the trouble in the poles. I personally find their message to be good but they really need to leave Sarah Palin behind they had more power I think when they where on their own without her. I personally would consider myself to be a tea party supporter because we do need to say goodbye Dems goodbye Reps we are taking this nation back and you can go away you corporate slime who try to buy laws they are not for sale anymore you can go and try to get you dems and reps to go pass the laws for you but We The People are going to start to do whats good for us and what is good for the nation if you company is failing maybe you should of made a better product. Sorry little bit of a rant can't stand this Corporate welfare state stuff that our nation seems to be into.

Time to recycle the garbage in the white house and in congress, both repubtards and democraps. Go Tea Party! Maybe now the Repubtards understand that people are fed up with thier flip flopping style like John McStain.. and the Democraps constant B.S socialist entitlement programs.
