I have not been travelling for a long time.... even for my marriage, i just had my honeymoon locally. To be honest, i haven't sit on an airplane before. Is vacation really that joyful? I do want to have a vacation soon. Anyway do you guys bring your young children along for vacation? If children follow along, what sort of activities can you do?

I think the fun you get out of your vacation depends on whom you are with and if you are open to new experiences. After all that is what vacation is for isn't it? You get to try new things, but mark my word if you have to compromise on your values to have fun, that's one vacation you will regret. Taking children can be stressful which is the opposite of what you want from your vacation. However it can be fun too if you get assistance from a nanny. That way you get to be in the presence of your children, enjoying their companies, without the stressful parts, like running behind them when they are being naughty.

Thanks for your comment. Don't have a nanny anyway... Sometimes, chasing the children takes away all your time :p Have a nice day!

I could honestly tell that it is really a part of enjoying life. But of course it does not mean that you will be enjoying perfectly because it also depend on instances like for example you were all traveling with your whole family but then all of you are making quarrel to each other, so what is the sense of enjoying the vacation? Well my example is the base from the people I know that they are traveling around the world but they keep on shouting to each other when they are in destination already.

Well yes, vacation is a way to enjoy life. Personally I would not want to take young children with me. But, even with children there is a lot to do. Only problem is vacation costs a lot of money. And most of the time I would rather do other things with the little money I have. I have not been on vacation for a long time either. Maybe next year. Have a nice day.

I think a vacation can be amazing as long as you know what to expect from it. If you go expecting to go out every night and then get there to find out that there aren't all that many places to eat out, you are going to be disappointed, but if you do your research properly, you will find that you will enjoy yourself a lot more when you actually get there. If you haven't been on an aeroplane before, you should make sure that you know what to expect from the experiences at the airport and onboard the plane itself, as it can be a little bit of a daunting experience if it's something that you're not used to. There's nothing to be worried about though, although it's perfectly normal to be a little nervous before you take your first flight.

Thanks for your advice... i will try to do more research before going for vacation. I've been to the airport for few times to send someone, but not really travel in it yet... Hopefully it will be a nice experience.

Vacation is a nice way to relax. You can enjoy and learn about a place. You can sight see and shop. When taking children along see to it that the place has something to occupy their mind.I go to a time share where there are several activities for children and they don't feel bored.

Yes, it's really enjoyable! Unfortunately I don't have the money to go on any kind of trip, so It's been a while, but if I could, I would book a plane ticket right now I don't have kids, so no problem with that

I do a lot of traveling. My works involves training and it makes me go to different places. Its like a working vacation. There are times that I bring my family along. The good thing is that I am my own boss so there is no problem what I do. I let them enjoy as I do my work and during my free time, we do enjoy. Its really nice since I go to a lot of places and learn many things as well as meet a lot of people.

Yes, having a vacation is good. It takes you away from the normal routine and allows you to rest. I have not gone for a vacation for a very long time. I intend to do so soon. I thought this time I will go alone so that I can have peace of mind!

In my opinion I think a vacation from where you live will help you get away from all the daily stress...well if you have some. Taking vacations helps people interact with others and experience unforgettable events. I don't have children but if you bring your children you can go to amusement parks, go to the beach, depending on where you go for vacation. There is so many family activities to do during a vacation. As for me though I would like to get away from my family. I want to just go off somewhere by myself. Vacations are a joyous part of life.

Sometimes, when bring along small children we become more of a guardian for them instead of enjoying. If possible, maybe it is good to go alone instead of bringing them. However, most probably i will bring my elder daughter along if i plan for a vacation :p Thanks.

Vacation is just one of the many ways to enjoy life. It depends on who u want to share your happy moments with. Even if u have children at home, one can find activities which involve everybody, making it into a good bonding time and yet being able to relax. Be it going to the beach or even eating out, there will be resturants that have special arrangements for kids yet not comprising a romantic dinner date with spouse. If one does not have that much cash to spare, one can be spending weekends in local hotels. Be shopping in one's own country, also being pampered by staffs and services by the hotel. If there's a need to go home, it's fairly convenient too.

Everyone needs a break from their usual routine. It's like "all work and no play makes John a dull boy". Vacation is a time for us to relax and have fun. Yes, vacation is fun if you want it to be that way. It's really up to you. If you're bringing kids along with you the best place to spend a vacation is somewhere where there's beach or mountain. Children love to swim so they will surely enjoy it. They can also go camping with you in some mountainous place and you can have many activities like a bonfire night and roast some marshmallows, hiking, etc.

Traveling on a vacation, even to a place locally for me is a way to enjoy life. Just seeing something out of our daily norm is awesome. When there are young children, then you should consider the location and where to go, cause it will involve money to spend, safe area for the children, and many activities for the children so they would not get bored easily.
