ATI or nVidia?

I want to buy a new graphics hardware but i don't know which one should i choose between ATI and nVidia because they have a high specification one another.Which one has the best overall performance between ATI and nVidia,and why you choose it.

nvidia geforce is best. usint it you can play all games but ati raedon doesnt support some games. so it would be preferable if you take nvidia

well i always use nvidia cards but they say that ati is more powerful. its just bad that most games are made to comply with nvidia cards and rarely with ati.

In my opinion nVida is the best. I have installed both ATI and nVida on my different machines here at home and nVida is the clear winner for me.
I use a desktop and tv as a media center for watching movies. After having to replace the ATI card, I chose nVida and will never go back. :)

Those two brands are best brands when it comes to graphic cards. Either of the two will do but you must consider the quality of the product... Just read the specifications of the products...

I prefer Nvidia myself, never had any problems with their cards, and it is also what the company uses where I work.. but overall what you might want to look at is what type of games you will be playing if that is what you are getting it for, and see which ones the game makers prefer most..
