MRT subsidy

I am not against people from metro manila or places where MRT is available but it is not fair that the national budget is being used to subsidies the fare of people there.
I'm from visayas and we do also spend more than 50 or almost 100 php a day for fare, so for people from the metro maybe they should make necessary budgeting and understand the nation too before left and right complaining :D .

I think the issue is clear here: The government is left in subsidizing the MRT because the budget alloted for it years ago went to the wrong hands. Imagine it could have been built with less loans, and with less loans, there should be no amount that we need to pay for.
I am just confused as to why budget is such an issue and again - people have to suffer. not only in manila but also everywhere else in this country. There are money! Where's the tax that goes to the government? This money, tax is deducted from us, no questions asked! so where are all the money that supposedly makes up the budget?

The corruption is involved everywhere in the government but with this new administration i'm hoping for a lesser one. There is still some mambas which are from previous administration. This subsidy is way back arroyo's time to somewhat save her very low popularity rate.
It is just fair to not use the national budget maybe the pork barrels of officials from this MRT available places ;)

well in from metro manila and im also against it. not because of the unfairness but because of the pain that is felt by the budget of our government. they are spending millions in just a day of operation because of subsidizing it.
if they will stop subsidizing it the money can go to places that most need it.

I agree to understand the nation but this government have many undertaking going on plus this super increase in fare. And why MRT only what about LRT2. The wouldn't complain if there are physical evidence why increase? New facilities? none.
