now our life is become so fast ....no one having any time to waist with their busy life.. all are having very busy life ...... earlier it was not like this... all were getting amble time to read and write... but now the scene changed... now all want to do something productive with their work... so all like to ignore the reading...
Am also like that , nowadays am not getting time to read or listen for something... i know this is not a good sign... but what to do ... ? it is happening... i think am helpless in this world...
It is necessary in our life to have the habit of reading... but unfortunately it is not happening like that with the current economic and political scenario of this current world....?
What you think? are you getting enough time to read in this busy world?????

I'm glad that I can spare some time for reading of newspapers. Time is always there for us, just that we are not aware of it. My reading time comes from waiting of transport or when I'm in buses, trains etc. If space is not a problem, I will be reading papers while sitting down. If I'm standing, I will be reading news from my phone instead.
When I'm done with that, I will proceed to mylot, earning some cents instead of letting time go to waste. Mylot is an informative place too.

I think it's really important to make the time for reading in our lives. Too many of us spend so much time watching the television and being on the internet, that we no longer appreciate what reading books is all about.
I don't agree with eBooks either. I think to really appreciate a story, you have to be able to read with the pages in your hand, being able to smell the book that you're reading from.
I make sure that I leave at least an hour before I go to bed in which I can read quietly in bed with the lights down low.
Sometimes, I find that I get so carried away with the story that I am reading, it can get to midnight before I actually remember that I have to go to sleep.

I think that it's important to make time for reading on a daily basis as reading is so pleasurable and it's a great form of escapism from the world around us. I'm actually going through the Harry Potter books once again and I'm really escaping when I'm delving through those pages, walking through the hallways of Hogwarts and so forth!
Agreed, life is definitely more hectic now and so many people are rushing around trying to get from a to b in the quickest time possible! This is a good way of saying to stress come get me! I think that you can read when you are travelling on the bus or train and this makes the journey that much more pleasurable I guess. I love to read during the evening hours and it's pretty quiet for me at this time. Sometimes I grab my favourite book and go through a few pages before retiring for the night, this actually makes me feel tired and I end up sleeping peacefully!
I think that without reading life is pointless! Andrew

I try to make the time because reading is a huge part of my day. It just does not seem right if I do not read at least something. It just throws my entire day off all things considered. There are times however when our schedules tend to get the better of us. That is an unfortunately, but true part of life and I wish it was not the case. However it is and thus we do not spend as much time reading as we would want to. At least I know I don't.
At the very least, I set aside an hour a day to read. Most likely right before I got to bed. There is just something about reading at night that relaxes me, calms me, puts me into a deep sleep and that is a good thing for sure. I wish I had more time than that but it is really all that I can manage on most days. Oh well, that is just a part of life. Still it is important to keep your mind sharp and reading is the best way to do that.

I missed reading good books. Yeah, we're living in a fast-paced world. One time I had this urge to relax and just read good books. What I did is file a 3-day leave at work. The 3 days vacation leave plus the 2 days weekend gave me 5 days to just do the things i wanted. I read one good book and blog about my days at home. I'm planning to do this again since I have 3 books to read which a good friend have gifted me with.
As for reading everyday, yes i can do that still but not with books. It is in the aspect of reading posts here in mylotters and FB and online news as well.

I have the time to read, if I would choose to do so. Everyone has the same number of hours in a day. I cannot say that I am too busy, but only that I choose other things instead. I find that I can read magazines and short articles and stories and do that everyday, but I have a hard time sticking to books lately.

I am not a big fan of reading. I usually read books that i need for school, or that i can learn something related to school. Even when i was little i wasn't a big fan of reading. Nowadays is even harder to find time for reading books, because we are in a continue running, we are always pressured of time and is very hard to make time for our friends and family, not to talk about reading.

I don't have time to read, because I'm just exhausted coming from work. But I find time to read to my 4-yr old boy before we sleep and it's quite amazing that he can read simple sentences already. I do read short novels on weekends when my son is asleep.

I go to the library on occasion and check out several books to read. I usually read after dinner in the evenings. I also read before I go to sleep. I keep my book by my bed so if I wake up during the night, I can pick it up to read which helps me to go back to sleep. I find reading very relaxing. I can travel to many places and times in life just by reading. My mother always has said reading is good for your mind.
