well the time travelling part is kind of impossible but is it possible in our time that someone can love so much and be able to be as loyal, loving, patient, and understanding as the time traveler's wife? her faith that he will be back to her is almost unbelievable.

i only saw it once. i really liked it. i know that the story is impossible, but it was so well-written that when you watch it, you'll like it so much even if it were impossible. while watching, i can't help but think that i want someone who will love me even half as much as those two did with each other. i'd also love to have a chance to read the book, to compare which is better. i bet the book's really good too.

Hi Allamgirl!
I first read the book before i saw the movie and i must say while reading you could imagine everything as if you were watching the movie too. it's very well-written and every detail is very vivid. the book has a lot of parts that almost made me cry, you would feel the characters' happiness, love, and even their hurt. some details weren't in the movie; like only 8 out of 20 were present but i guess the key points were highlighted in the movie. i suggest you read it :) i have an ebook of this, if you want i can email you a copy, just send me a message. happy MyLotting!

thanks for the offer nik, but i kind of refrain on reading e-books. i just enjoy the real ones better. :)
now, i really do have to read it. then watch it again. i was kinda falling asleep a lil bit when i watched it, since it was in a plane ride going home. but i loved it, i just hoped i was awake enough to remember all the details. i'll read it for sure, when i get my hands on some money. :) but if i can't wait for it, i'll send you a message for the e-book. thanks!

I saw the time traveler's wife several times actually....I know that it's not possible to happen but I thought the love story was a sweet story that they told about how he thought he would never be loved and she was the one who loved him and met him before he met her smiles well you know what I mean...HappyMylotting...

i think the idea of the movie, although seems impossible, is really inspiring... there's so much sincerity in it that it makes you want to experience that same love that they have for each other. i think i know how you feel about the movie :)
PS, sorry about the typo grammar error on the title; should've been "has anyone seen...". Just saying :) Happy MyLotting everyone!

I started reading hte book and it was "hard work" to me. Trying to keep track of the time, when's and where's and which happened first and who was how old etc. I'd read and then have to go back and put things together in order and it was just more trouble to deal with than it was worth. I mean, I get the point, but it didn't goin exact chronology order. Sometimes she was older, sometimes he was, or it reverter back and forth between years...first it was 1994, next chapter it was 1992 and next was 1995 etc. he was in her teens, then her 20's, then back to teens, then into 30's. I just got tired reading it!
So I waited until it came out on DVD... and if I hadn't read what I did, I really don't think I would have gotten what the whole thing was about. It started when he met "himself" at the car crash with his mother, I don't remember reading that in the book, I read where he "met" himself at his own home and they went to the muesum together. But then again, maybe I just hadn't gotten that far into the book. But in watching it go back and forth.. I didn't enjoy it at all. It just seemed like to much crammed into to little time. I didn't enjoy it at all.
And, no I don't really think most would "wait" like she did. Now, she had that list he gave her or did she make it... if forget... and maybe she thought she'd wait cause she at least knew some dates, but still...I think it'd make me to crazy to not ever know when he'd come and go and hold my life in the balance all that time. No offense to love or anything, but no more than she got... seems like far to much sacrafice on her part to get what little she did. Only takes once to have the baby.

Yes I saw the movie... it was a good movie
Though not as good as "the notebook"
Now on to the question... Yes it is possible, if you really love someone so much. You would patiently wait for that special love. Love is without boundaries, even time...
