I know alot of people dream of meeting their favorite star but have any of you actually met anyone famous? Back in the day I went to alot of concerts and used to always manage to get up front. The first time I ever met anyone was when I was 15 years old and Judas Priest came to town. Before the show was over a roadie came up to my frined and I and told us the band would like to know if we'd like to go back stage and have a drink with them. Now you must understand we looked alot older than 15. Of course we accepted the invite and proceded to have a wonderful time. As the years went on I've met and partied with Motley Crew and Quit Riot. I also met Metalica but not at the concert. I've since grown up but still remember fondly those days! What is your story? Who have you met and how? Sometimes we need a fun discussion!

I have met Pope John Paul II as well when he was here in Manila for World Youth Day. My mother met Mother Teresa at the elevator of University of Santo Tomas I think she was able to talk with her or something like greeting her. I agree they are more than celebrities. I can't actually feel the presence of Pope Benedict right now.

I've met several famous people by chance--Bill Clinton, Al Gore, and Newt Gingrich, to name a few politicians. I also met Jackie O--very charming. I've chatted with Chris Noth (Mr. Big) and Patrick Stewart, Lawrence Taylor (Giants football), Bianca Jagger, and Robert Redford. All of these people I met randomly, just by being in the same place at the same time. That's what makes it fun!

It's because I live near NYC, and used to live near Washington, DC. In either place, you can often see "famous" people just walking down the street.

Yea, I have quite few people.. Michael Landon (when I was a child). The Nelsons -Matthew and Gunnar..quite a few times. Collective Soul's Ed Roland and Joel Kosche, Gene Pitney, Sha Na Na a couple of times. Tesla.. the Band Most notably Lead Singer Jeff.. he stole (Ok, Borrowed) my puppy from me the day I got her.. after 10 minutes he finally gave her back.. Later that night when I went to the concert, they (him and his girlfriend)gave me a free t-shirt. HE then "borrowed" her again for a few minutes.. I think.. he likes puppies! Also Graham and Russell from Air Supply, Rick Springfield... I got autographs from most all of them. But the one I never got an autograph from was (actor)Dylan Mcdermott -he's on tv show Dark Blue now- formerly of the practice.. I met him and we hung out a christening party for his sisters kids when they were little. She is on of my best friends. but after hearing all the mean things he did when they were kids.. (I guess what all siblings do to each other) I wasn't so impressed.. I'd much rather have met the costar of one of his movies.. ROBERT DOWNEY JR. :( But At least I can say I am now only 3 degrees away from him.

My Mom and Dylan Mcdermott - Dylan McDermott and My mother.
Yea, that's pretty much why I never asked for Dylan's Autograph. He was there to be with his sister and become godfather to his nephew.. I didn't want to ruin his brief vacation from hollywood by hounding him.. but that didn't stop my mother from going around getting pictures of everyone we knew with him.. except for me- I told her - WHY? I'm Robin's friend and I don't even have a picture with her yet.. I don't need one with her brother... But my mom was proud of her "job" that day and I think all our friends/slash coworkers were glad she did it too... here's her pic.

very impressive list you have. I never got autographs from anyone. I always wanted to appear different from everyone else and being how they were always being asked to sign something I refused to do that. I kinda wish I had them now but back then when they finished signing for everyone, it was me and my friend who stayed and most of the rest had to leave. It was worth it.

Back in university I joined a fraternity. There was one fraternity brother who was a famous young actor, but I hated that he was part of our group (so, I wouldn't say his name). Anyway, the reason I hated him was that he was worst when it came to hazing, and it seemed like the only times he visited the fraternity was when he was having trouble with other fraternities.

When I was 16 I was presented to the Queen as a Queen's Guide when she visited our town ( I was the only female to be presented to her), I would say that she is the most important person I have ever met!

I will be showing my age in this post also, but what the heck. Way back when Johnny Depp was on a little show called 21 Jump Street. At the time one of my good friends had a huge crush on him, and found out he was going to be at a car show downtown in our city. So we went to a car show stood in a two hour line to meet Johnny Depp, and I still have the pictures, he was cute even way back then. The only other person I met was "The Rock" at a wrestling event. This is a great fun discussion, thanks for starting it.

When I was little, my mother and my grandparents took me to a hotel where a singer was performer. It was really amusing because I have seen her on TV so many times and she was a really good singer. I remember there was one song she was singing that was about food and there was workers from the hotel passing out bread to the audience. That was a good memory.

That is so cool! I've always wanted to meet Alice Cooper..he seems like he'd be so cool! I've never really met anyone super famous..I had a friend who hit a world record for the smallest waist in the world..but that's nothing super big..she doesn't talk to me anymore-I still wonder about her now and then.

I've already met the local celebrities here in Manila. So many to mention. But then in Foreign it can be David Pomeranz the one who sang the King and Queen of Hearts and many of his songs were used in a lot of film. I was a graphic artist on the company that manages him. That is why I was able to met him twice. Then during the concert I was able to saw Moffatts, Craig David, I forgot other more.

I never meet any famous person in my life, even if I meet them, I don't know what to do, I feel shy. I met few famous actors in my country but I don't like them much so they are not famous for me LOL. But if I can meet my idol for once, I will never let them go like that
