Our brain needs oxygen to work. it gets oxygen from the air we breath. Sometimes, we get tired or bored then we don't breath in enough air. So our brain decides to do something about it. Our brains tell our body to yawn. we open our mouth wide when we yawn. and that means we take a of of air! i thought you might wanna know so i just shared this nice to know information with you...what ya think????=)

Ya exactly its true.. We yawn as our brain is in need of oxygen... We often yawn when we are bored of the situation.. Our brain gets tired when the things around us are not appealing.. Mostly this happens when we listen to a teachers lecture or when someone advices.. Ha ha.. This is true in every ones case.. Have a great day:)

Alright, here are what make me yawn. - If I have to seat silently in a boring workshop. - If I have to be scholded by my parents. - If I am tortured by my teachers. - If I have completed three portions of regular pizzas.

A very good explanation for why we yawn. No wonder I yawn so much in the shopping complex. I must be pretty bored. So taking more oxygen will get rid of my boredom. What do you think? After yawning, does one feel better?

Actually from a recent study, we might yawn to regulate our body temperature. Sounds far-fetched I know, but it's the result of a study. It was seen that holding an ice-pack to the subject's forehead reduced yawning and also, nasal breathing i.e. breathing in and out through the nose only, also reduced yawning. Yawning might well be a means to increase oxygen content in blood, but the fact that even not so fatigued people yawn once in a while doesn't support the claim. Besides, individuals with high blood oxygen levels yawn too. I found myself yawning even after my cardio workout, which is supposed to increase my blood oxygen level. So why we yawn is still a mystery even though some pretty interesting claims have surfaced in recent times.
