I have now got to see a blood doctor, due to my blood test having not good results.I had rang the drs surgery for my results and at the time only a few had come through,so when i went to the hospital for my skin problem, they told me that my skin problem was the least of my problems. They said that i may have to have my blood thinned, polycerthemia and another thing, however i am going to see what the blood doctor says after all it is his field.

That's not good news. Having high level of white blood cells in the body is not healthy and in fact gives u a risk of contracting blood cancer!! U better get that under control soon, if other than cancer, u will be feeling have anemia instead.
That will make u feel weak all the time, and no high intensity activities for u as well, including your nightly session with your husband ya.. lol =D Do take care!! hehe

That's stinks! My grandmother has a blood problem. She has to go to the doctors for it. Then again, my grandmother has survived cancer for nearly 30 years, and most people can't do that. Your doctor will just you on blood thinners, but be careful, if you bleed, your blood might now clot like it used to.

I am on soo much medication now that i feel like it is a meal each time i take all the pills and that is without the injections that i have twice a week.I wish they would sort what ever the problem is out,so that i did not have to wait or go backwards and forwards to the hospital all the time.

The hospital said that my imune system is not that great as the injections that i am on are making me more prone to infections,as for my hemoglobin that is something that is really high and can indicate alot of things that are going on,so it is time to see a blood specialist. All i done was went to the hospital for a skin check,to be told about other health problems aswell as get yet more appointments.

From what I read, skin problems can go along with the blood disorder they are testing you for, so you may get it all sorted out that way. I know it is tiresome to keep going, but never feel like you are getting better.

I have high chlostrol,so i thought what with that, high blood pressure and the drip that i was on for those days may have had something todo with my white cells aswell as the hemoglobin and she said no.I asked about asprin, she said no as they need to know what was going on,rather than not knowing,as the white cells being high is just as much of a worry to hear and my health.I have also got an urgent appointment for the rehmatology as in next week again, what with the ot appointments, sleep therapy, nurse, drs, school, plummers, plasterer and now a blood man,i will not have time to get bored.

high white count usually indicates that the body is fighting something. an infection, disease process etc. hmm..high red count too? too much iron in the blood can be caused by a few things. Its good that this has been discovered. I'm sure its nothing major. Make sure you get the treatment you need! best of luck to you.

Well, they just keep finding things for you to be concerned about. You are having quite a rough spell. Be sure to let us know what the doctors say this time about your situation.

I just hope that i soon get all these hospital appointments done and dusted soon,so that i can relax abit more.I wish one dr at the hospital could deal with the whole lot when you have to go to the hospital, rather than all the up to the hospital and back again.

I hope all goes well for you jugs. Maybe you're just low on iron? That can possibly cause this I believe.
Let us know what the results are, and why do you have to have your blood thinned? I'm confused on that.

It is very frustrating to keep going to the doctor and every time it seems they are telling you something new. In my case they never really gave me a diagnosis for anything. In your case they keep telling you something new is wrong with you. Try and do what the specialist tells you, and consider getting a second opinion.

It's not good to have more white blood cells than red blood cells in the body. WHen that happens, u are more likely to face anemia or even leukemia in the worst case scenario. It's best for u to visit the doctor soon, and get it treated before it gets worse. The doctor is right, skin problem is the least of your problem now, as compared to what's happening to the blood cell count.
