I'm now learning English at university, I have to learn many skill but writing makes me scared most. I don't know how to write anything perfectly. Actually I can't even write in my mother language. Some people say that if I read more, I can write well too. Is it true? What should I read? Looking forward to your respond !

If you find a good sentence , you remedy it and make sentence by yourself with this the word you remember , such as some fixed sentence . i am poor in my mother language too , but my English composition can get high score . i think English writing is no more relate the mother writing , come on !

Could you please recommend me some easy to read books. My reading is not bad but reading too much make me tired, I tried to read some books in English but it didn't last long because those books are too long and too difficult. I want to find something simple

Ya, it is true. The materials to read is dependent on the types of writing you wish to put on. For example, if you wish to write a academic article, you should have a look at some books concerned with the academic field. Otherwise, if you think you are good in creative writing, you can read novels, poems, short stories, and others. Writing is not a difficult skill to acquire. All you need is a faithful heart and ton of hard works. All the best.

That's good, you are learning English now at the University. It would be easier for you to learn more. Anyway, it's true that reading will enhance your writing skill. I myself still needs to work on my English communication skills. My mom always telling me to read anything like articles, magazines, newspapers as long as it is in English. I do like reading romantic books. Well, that's one of my interest. Good luck to us. =)

What they say is partially true. Remember that writing is a skill that needs to be improve and honed continuously. Books can certainly help you but you also must know that they are rules in writing. This may be reflected in the books you are reading (which depends on your literature). Also, word choice is another important factor in writing - a good reason to widen your vocabulary. Lastly, you need to have a feel for writing to make you comfortable writing whatever message you want to come across.

It's a long journey task!It takes a lot of work!At first you should read more, read the things which you are interested and learn the style and structure of the article! Then you should recite some classic passages, which will help you to cultivate you sense of writing!
