In my case, I am too pessimistic with regards to Philippine development. It is not just a matter of being united. United in what sense? Maybe there must be a change to be initiated. Talking of change in a political sense is a kind of revolution. There are two kinds of revolution. The first one is political revolution which revolution includes the change of people in power. This is what people usually do in s democratic country such as in the Philippines.
In this case, the leaders are only change but the system remains. No matter how promising that president would be but the system is corrupt, that would make no difference. Its all the same.
No matter how we change our leaders through election but the system remains and those leaders are drowned in the system. You cannot be a socialist in a capitalist society. I mean, the politician is going to swallow what he vomits because if he is honest enough in the system, he will be out in the play.
What the country needs is a social revolution. Though this is a violent revolution or an armed revolution, but there is a point of doing this. It is because the only way to take away the political privileges of our leaders is through this way.
