How long you spend online?

United States

I wanted to ask my friends here at mylot how long is the longest time you have been online at one time? I am asking for a period of time, minus getting a snack or using the restroom. For me I can say about 5 hours is the longest I have done and recently it seems to be going down day to day of how long I am online. Let me know your thoughts on this thanks a million.

These days I am sad to say about 12 -15 hours a day. I have no off-line job, so I am utilizing my time looking for work off-line and earning some money online. I am diligently hoping to get back to work so that I can be off the entire online rat-race.

I shift a lot. I apply for work, run to an interview, come back earn some money, do chores and do it all over again until a job lands. If not then what should I do, watch TV, I do not think so. Have to do what I have to do as I want to get back to a normal life. Some days it is really hard and I get really depressed but I have to keep trying. Thanks.

I think I average 10 hours a day. Internet is my life. I breathe internet, I live internet and I eat internet. That is literally speaking. It is my source of leisure, information seeking, education and money making. It is such a wonderful creation and the best thing that happen to human race. If we really know how to use it, the potential is unlimited. Even the sky is not the limit as there is no limit.

Actually, it depend on how much time i am free from my offline job. If, i have more free time on hand, then i can spend nearly 7 hours a day online. Because i will update my blog, writing articles and even update my earning sites. If i was very busy with my offline job, then i will probably only spend 1 - 2 hours online only. So, it's really had to depend mainly on how i am able to schedule my free time into my daily life schedule. Hope you will have a good earning for able to spend such a long time to online.

Probably 6-8 hours off and on throughout the day. I do my bookkeeping online, pay bills online, do my husband's invoices online, play on mylot, etc. etc. I could never stay online for the 6-8 hours straight. It seems lately the longer I stay online at one time, my eyes start hurting.

i am currently on vacation. and because of this i don't go out of my house too much. before i'd stay online for only two hours, now i take like almost 6-7 hours. i'm also doing a job online as part time. so besides mylotting i keep myself busy doing some interview, data entry, and chatting for my part time work.

I am working as a medical transcriptionist. I spend most of the time working online on my job. I spend around 10 to 12 hours in the internet working on my job. I also browse on different sites when I have time.

It kinda sounds like you may be suffering burnout. If this is the case then maybe you should stay away for a few days and rest.

in my case i spend may be at least 10 hours online (no kidding) because i work in front of the computer all the time (playing online computer games and doing mylot). I only go to eat when it's lunch time or using the restroom when needed. But i think too long in infront of the computer is bad for you.

There was a time when the internet was just about all I did. My boyfriend was on a fish processing boat in Alaska and I received disability income for being bipolar. So my time was mine to do what I wanted and I chose to spend it at the computer. Not counting trips to the refrigerator and the bathroom I regularly spent about 18-20 hours at the computer during one sitting. Needless to say, my physical condition deteriorated and I found myself seriously overweight and under socialized. My longest stint was about 34 hours. And I couldn't tell you what I did during that time but I was always occupied with something. I am happy to report that I now run a much more balanced life. I am the owner/operator of Laurie's Flea Market and Auction House in Milton Freewater Oregon USA and I have a different boyfriend who resides with me and I get to spend some time with him each day. I do have to admit that I still spend a good 6-8 hours a day at my computer and always can find something needing my attention there. I recommend that you spend as much time as you want at your computer if you can say that you are truly enjoying your time there and it is benefiting your life. However, don't let it keep you from tending to your physical and social fitness.
