A lot of people live with facebook. They wake up in the morning and the first thing that they want to do is to update their status on facebook writing "have a nice day" or something like this. Then they are connexted all day updating their status with everything they do.
A lot of prents also have problem whith their children when they are under 16, especially when they have a girl, because they are frightened of the people that their children meet over there.
Others use it only for their job, having groups and promoting their staff and having great earnings. Take as an example of this the promoting of ptc sites.
Do you use facebook? What type of a facebook user are you? Are you addicted to it or not. Do you permit your children to use it if they are under 16?

I am using facebook to connect with my friends and loved ones.
Yes,i do let my kids use facebook under my supervision.
Facebook is one great way also to connect with my works and interests.
I do understand that some bad things happens and starts with this site, but,it is an individual obligation on how to use this site or any other site.
Facebook is not a sole social site,so,it is not only facebook to be blame when something bad happens.
It is also the parents obligations to supervised their kids with the use of internet.
Have a good day always

My entire immediate family has a Facebook. We use it to keep up with family and friends. It is a great way of keeping in touch with those who live far away. I use it to let people know when something happens in my life and I want them to know about it. Because you can do updates simply by text messaging on your cell phone I can keep my family and friends updated on what I'm doing no matter where I am. I used it also when I owned my own newspaper. Facebook was a great thing for that. I don't allow my children to become friends with anyone that we don't know and they don't have their actual home towns posted on the page.

I used to use FB when I was a student. But I leave it when I go to work. I have many things which I must do, so I don't have enough time for it. I have just come back with FB when I know that I can earn from FB an CloudCrowd.

AT Facebook I can find old lost friends, relatives and on line frieds at other websites. I can convey messages, greetings immediately and received responses in few seconds or minutes. I can promote my real estate business to friends. Facebook is quite easy to handle compared to others. You can chat, send comments, tag pictures, share videos and everything all in one setting. I can relax by just playing Farmville. No wonder like me, others enjoy joining Facebook. My 3 children are all in facebook but they're no longer minors. I used Facebook in greeting them on their birthdays and shout to the world how happy and proud I am for being their mom. Am not addicted to it, as I have other sites to visit, but I do open it every day and stay few minutes. Then, if happened to be at the internet in the afternoon or at night I'll browse again to check my Facebook.

i do use facebook but not often. it allows me to connect to people way, way back...i also post updates there of my life's events. it also keep me updated with what is happening in relations to my profession. somehow i can say that its a good venue to update with what is happening to people you care about (and care less :-) ), to life's events and its fun...
my 9 year old daughter has a facebook account, i allow her but then i monitor it from time to time. if you are a mother, and you want to know the other side of your kids, go to facebook, there you will discover the other side of your child and got to know him/her more by the way she/he express things to her friends, how she/he views and handle comments from others. those are things you will discover in your child beyond the normal conversation that happened around the table and it helps and enlightened me as a mother.
technology if use properly is an ocean of knowledge waiting to be explores and discover, whoever if it is abused can cause potentials damage to any person and in any relationships, if can even distort the way people think especially the children. so responsible use is a must.
God bless...

I had a Facebook account and have since closed it. I did use it a lot at first but was not all together happy with the updates an improvements they recently made. Its a great social site but there is a potential for people creeping on your wall and such. The privacy settings are good though you can allow different friends different privileges etc., but you can still have problems with friends posting inappropriately and the like. I allow my 14 year old to have a FB account but I monitor the privacy settings, no personal info and she does not show up in searches, etc. I would not allow her to use it if I didn't periodically check her settings and such. I don't snoop but have many relatives who have her on theirs and they report anything she may be doing that may be unacceptable.

As a student all of us in our batch have facebook accounts. I admit that for few months ago, I was really addicted to facebook like I can't sleep at night without checking my account. But when I learned about earning online like joining mylot and writing blogs, my addiction to facebook decreased. As of now, my priority is to write more and more blogs and update my online income sources. I still check my facebook account but not as often as before. Somehow the fact that I don't earn financially in facebook became a factor. But facebook will always be the bridge which links me to my good friends around the world.

I'm kind of a daily Facebooker, but not to the point of addiction. Being a utility that allows me to connect with my friends all over the country is great. I'm now knowledgeable of what's happening with them thanks to status updating. I do not expect fresh news that directly concern me and my contacts to be available in any paper or news TV.But I rather do on Facebook!
