I'm going to respond to your question as I *think* you're asking it (hopefully I have interpreted your drift)... There absolutely IS idol worship in the Bible, but it's not acceptable by God. When Moses led the Hebrew people out of Egypt in the book of Exodus, and they spent 40 years wandering in the wilderness, they came to Mt Sinai where God gave Moses the Commandments. While Moses was on the mountain receiving instruction from God, the children of Israel were down below building a golden calf out of melted jewelry, and they bowed down and worshiped it! God abhors idol worship. God's first and foremost commandment is, "You will have no other Gods before Me!" The reason why people have always worshiped idols is the fact that they are rebelling against God, refusing to put Him first in their lives. We all have an idol or two in our hearts, believe it or not. ANYTHING can be an idol; trinkets, pictures, music, people, T.V..... Anything! It's very easy to fall into idolatry, even though you may not agree with Hinduism, Buddhism, etc. Shalom.
