If you would've asked me this question 10 years ago, I would've laughed in your face; but now, I know for a fact that there is no way that I could live apart from my phone for a long period of time. It is my lifeline because so many people depend on me to answer them, (Well, I'm a pastor and they always call for me).
I have a smart phone w/the calendar, text messaging, etc. I've gotta keep the lines of communication open if I'm going to be effective.

I am sure that i could survive without my cell phone. it is a convenience i have come to count on quite a bit, but it would not be the end of my world without one. I'm sure the time would come shortly that i would miss it, but my celllphone is not a reuirement of my happiness.

Since the cell phone is the only phone I have, I can['t do without it. It is my contact with tenants and my family. I would certainly be lost without it, and I couldn't go one day without it. There have been times that I have had to leave home without my cell phone, as it needed charging. I do try to charge it up before I do out, but it doesn't always work out that way. I am so dependent on my phone, that I am glad I have one. Take care, and have a very good day.

I can survive in the primordial sense of the word: i can eat, i can drink.
Two weeks ago I lost my phone in a cab, I realised it when I got in the house but by then the cab already left. I couldn't get my phone back so I spent one day without a phone, and let me tell you something... it was pretty nice! No responsibility, no nagging from anybody.
But the next day I went put and bought a cell phone 'cause nobody from work could contact me.
So you can survive but not "survive".

I'm dying without my cell. I dropped it in the dog water bowl and now its not functioning. I haven't been able to text or talk in 2 days. I can't wait til friday to get a new phone. Plus its easier to just have a cell phone instead of a landline and cell. But it stinks when you can't talk to anybody. So to answer the question. I can survive without my cell but I don't want to its torture
