Backgroung image fixing..please help

Hi all i am having trouble with background image in my site..as mylot doesn't allow to post images to describe the problem..i have posted my question here

i have an image and i want to repeat it vertically so that it will cover the background vertically and i want the same image to stretch in x-direction so that it will cover the back ground horizontally...but in present case image is also getting repeated in x-direction..i had set repeat-y in css..but in this case some part of background is chopped off (as it is only repeating in y direction) i need the image to stretch horizontally to cover the chopped area in x-direction and not by repeating...

Hey i think their are problem with scripting which doesn't allow to posting any images.. you may checked your scripting which you have used for your websites.. i think their may be problem something with scripting.. so this is happen ..
