I gotta question for you. The ups and downs in life that you've experienced and are now experiencing - are they an act of fate, or just chance? In other words, is what you're going through SUPPOSED to happen to you because of choices you've made, or is it just your lot in life.
I've gotta get positive and negative responses on this. I wanna know where your HEAD and HEART is. Listen, we all live life - but many of us don't live it to the fullest because of this very subject, lemme know will ya?

I don't believe in fate. A lot of what happens to us is a result of good or poor choices we make. Some is just coincidence and can't be avoided. But even then, we can turn a negative into a positive.

That's a very interesting response, it comes off as Calvinistic. What I mean, (I hope I'm not being offensive), you paint a picture of no matter what you do, it's all pre - planned so just deal with it. Personally I disagree because we were created in the image of God; that means we have the right to be sovereign...meaning that God's will is one thing, but we have the power to CHOOSE...now obviously this can be good or bad right? I mean, the Word does say that God is not willing that none should perish but all come to repentance...the truth is, many are presented with the opportunity to get it right and choose the other direction and hell is their 'fate'.
John 3: 19 says that God came into the world with Light, but man CHOSE darkness because his deeds were evil. Understand where I'm coming from?

I think I am currently a bit downs. There are some serious problems I have to face.
In my opinion, my ups and downs is determined by faith, but willingness, trials, and chance are parts of my faith itself. That's because in my religion God tells us that our faith has been set, but to make it real, human beings are given a little portion of control, so he or she can choose and participate.

ups and downs, they are all part of what we call life. life is not perfect, you can view it as being unfair or fair to you. it gives us trials or challenges for us to be strong and make us ready for another level of challenges. but i think having much challenges means that you are so blessed that God is training you to become strong and brave to face the world. once you have surpassed those trials, every trials that will come your way will be easy for you overcome. if you live as a dependent person to the people around you, t will be hard for you to stand on your own.so those people who we thought who are living life in the fullest are the ones who are living in despair and those who are full of trials are the ones who can live their lives too the fullest. we are given a free will and intellect by God, so it is up to us if what we are experiencing are fate of chance. i have read about "Maktub" which means that everything is written, i guess our lives are already written until the end, whatever path we are going through right now, it will lead us to only one outcome.

This is a difficult question because we really don't know what is that: fate or chance? My opinion is that it's possible that both will influence life. Our fate is somehow written in our genes from the moment we born. But chance has a great role in life. Choices you have to choose at many moments in life may impact your life a great deal.
