Working Overtime

I, being employed with a overtime job, truly do believe that there is no wrong in working overtime while being a student. I honestly think that it is an awesome, great idea for students to have it before they graduate from high school, if they have the time and resources to do so. Students who are responsible, or learn responsibility, have nothing to loose but all to gain by having a job. There are a few key points that prove students having overtime job is an awesome concept which I am going to point out. A student that can maintain working overtime gain excellent first hand experience that cannot be gained from the classroom. Experienced students applying for a job are more likely to be hired than someone who is not as experienced. This is because students with experience on their resume show that they have already proven they can handle a job while balancing school and other activities. Students can gain a lot of experience by volunteering, although employers are usually looking for real job experience.

I have to work overtime quite often, atleast three days a week. I work for a company which is in the international trading business. So, we have to deal with people in countries which are in different time zones. Their morning is our evening. So, to make some contacts with them, I have to stay pretty late at my work place. Quite tiring and exhausting indeed. Well, but , this is the nature of the job. I cannot complain !

This week i have several Overtime.. Before i want overtime because my salary will increase if i have so. but after a week with overtime until 10 PM (Philippine time), i realize that it is hard for my body to work more that 8 hours in successive days.
