What are they up to?

Why is it that the powers that be find time to complain about the high cost of living and the unemployment situation facing us all,and yet they are hesitant to spend money on cleaning up the messes that got us here in the first place but they have no problem spending on trying to see whether man can survive on Mars?
We know what our mistakes, so make the hard choice, take your whipping like a man, correct your mistakes and move on. I think they are afraid because they are might loose the balance of power while they take time to fix the mistakes. So what do you think, should we be busk looking for a new habitat, or should we work on correcting the mess we made here.
Bare in mind even if we can survive on Mars we have no idea of the problems we will encounter there. Think about the new diseases we will encounter. Scary!

We have a most gorgeous planet with so many treasures and we are destroying it. What will we do on Mars anyway? There is nothing there. No life, no food, nothing!

Maybe these he-men intend to fetch all of it there. Lol. Hmmm you know I think these men have been sniffing too much gasoline from their cars. It has fried their brain cells. They can no longer think logically. We need more female leaders.
