This could be a very touchy subject. I mean on one hand, sure it would be no different than building a church near there, but I personally think it's still too soon! I don't know, Being the daughter of a 9/11 survivor (at the pentagon) I just don't know how I feel about it. I'm kind of torn because again, it's a place or worship but on the other hand, I don't think anything should be built on the site or around it. It just seems like sacred ground to me...thoughts?

I don't think that anything should be built near Ground Zero. Without being too graphic, in many respects this area is a burial ground and should be respected as such. While I know that most Muslims do not support the acts of the murderous few, I can't imagine anything that is more insulting to the families who lost loved ones there than for a Mosque to be built nearby since this attack was based upon the perverted religious beliefs of extremist Muslims.

I agree! Like I said, to me it's sacred ground. I don't even think they have recovered all of the bodies from there. It's just sad to me. I know this is something that people will forever be torn on but for me, I just think they should relocate and find a different site to build on.
