What would you find at a Flea Market?

If you went to a place that was billed as a 'Flea Market' Wwhat would you expect to find there? What would you like to find? What are some of your experiences with buying and selling at Flea Markets? Would you go to a Flea Market if there was one in your area?

I love flea marekts and typically the reason that I go is to find inexpensive furnishings for my home. These days, I'm more interested in going to them to find antiques or collectibles.

What kind of collectibles interest you? Do you have any collections? If so, how do you display them? I used to have a liking to collect sets of things. Like several copies of the same McDonald's toy or a set of comic books starting from #1 and going to the last issue published. Had alot of sets going but left it behind when I moved cross-country.

I'm into Coca Cola collectibles. We lived in Atlanta for a time when I was a teenager. Coke's headquarters are there and that's when I got interested in their collectibles. I've found great pieces at garage sales & flea markets. I display my favorite pieces in a china cabinet.

I haven't been to a flea market in a very long time, but we used to buy books and furniture as well as watches, radios and antiques. There was a lot more there, but those are the things I remember. The only one near here is really bad now, dirty and with lots of junk in it. I won't go there any more, it doesn't even seem safe.

There is also a Flea Market here that isn't so nice as it once was. It is mostly mexicans reselling new items. I am not surprised that it isn't doing very well. Did you go to the Flea Market with a particular item in mind or did you just look for bargains while you were there?

well everything and anything in particular. well in this country i think there isnt really any established flea markets around.
