Hello all my fellow MyLotters
Especially hello to those who write on either Hubpages or Triond. - The reason im reaching out for you guys is because I want to know more about these two websites, what is the differences and where is the potential in earnings?
I write for fun and in my sparetime when I find a good subject, I write basically about everything between heaven and earth, so it is also nice if you know about any differences in the audience of the two sites.
So grab your keyboard and post your comments regarding Hubpages and Triond - which to choose or are both great sites to join?

Hello devilova,
A very good point to check out the PR, but also as you said one of my purposes would be to get backlinks also for some of my other "writing" projects.

Pr would be irrelevant here. PR is by page - your HUB or your article on Triond has its own pagerank.
And Triond will publish on different websites, it is not publishing your article on Triond itself, the pagerank of Triond will not help your articles.
Anyway, the only way to compare would be to write 2 articles aiming the same keyword, and publish them on those 2 sites and see wich one brings in more views - or more money !
But writing for one site, then writing on another site and link back to your other articles is by far the smartest way to get money from everywhere. Well, money and backlinks.

I publish in both but as Devilova says I use Triond for earnings and links back to my site and get more views and some earnings, I earn nothing in Hubpages but use it for links back.

I write for Triond and I like even though I don't get a lot of traffic, I still like getting a little bit of money from my articles.

Yes and the best thing is that it is a passive income, you dont have to do any work once the article is published :D

I'm not sure, because I don't see either or those sites as big moneymakers, and that is mostly what I am concerned with, but there are enough people on here, that someone should be able to advise you.

snowy, im not so worried about making a fortune on the memberships, I will also be using it a little for backlinking to some other projects I have going on.
But then there are some people who seem to be earning a decent amount with these two sites, but again depending on thier purpose for writing and highly also the subjects on the articles.

Hi Downwindz, have you considered how you are going to earn from the articles?
If your main monetizing method is affiliate links, you are better off with posting articles in Hubpages.
Hubpages allow affiliate links and it has built in Ebay and Amazon widget.
If you just want to share your views and earn from page impressions, Triond is a better place.
I think you need to think about this before you start writing. You can even join both sites, and see where your earnings come from.
