Karl Rove not an establishment Republican?

While I was at a truck stop today, I caught a discussion on FOX News about the tea party candidates and the republican party. The women that introduced Karl Rove said that he was an "establishment republican", which he stopped her right in her tracks and CLAIMED the he supported many tea party candidates, and he was NOT an establishment Republican. He also said that he was very angry with FOX because they said that the GOP was not providing money to some of the tea party candidates. Karl took care of that by calling the establishment GOP, telling them to cut a check to these candidates right way, which they did. Now that tea party candidates are winning primaries, establishment republicans are jumping on the band wagon. Do you think the tea party candidates will take all of the money from the GOP, and just be like the Blue Dog democrats, or do you think they will fight the establishment GOP, and stay on their own? And, does it worry you, or bother you that these candidates are taking all of this blood money from the same party that fought to defeat them.

I agree with you 100%. The thing that made me laugh is how he called up the establishment Republicans and told them to donate the max to these tea party candidates. If he wasn't "establishment" then why would they listen to him?

And, he was very upset that she would call HIM that. She was shocked that he actually challenged what she said, and was kind of taken back. I couldn't believe it either when I heard him say it. But, it is Karl Rove: Anything is possible!!!

The only thing worse than a inept politician is a corrupt politician. And if a politician switches and slides and manipulates and steals rally caps and flops around until they find the most traction, then they're corrupt in my estimation.
That's almost as criminal in my mind as the corrupts in there at the moment wasting stimulus money to grease palms and pay off favors. These "establishment" types are called that for, among many reasons, being well established as power-playing fund-raisers. Their power as greaseballs means more good, willing-to-bring-REAL-change politicians aren't heard from because the power-mongers are too busy trying on every coat in the closet until they find one that fits.
Now, I'm all for changing one's mind on an issue or even an entire platform. Being locked in one set way of thinking is just ridiculous. But there's a huge difference in coming around on something or viewing it in a different light and outright flip flopping to gain support.
The progressive liberals crept in and took over the Democrats, too, and now these establishment diehard GOPers will stop at nothing until they take over everything not left.
To this day, the only difference I spot between the two major parties is the way they're covered in the mainstream.
Republicans--the true Republicans--are getting no love from me, and I don't care how much I disapprove of these uberliberals in office now.

It is very difficult for Karl to rally against a GOP that HE CREATED!!!! Many of the things you hate about the GOP are textbook Rove tactics, and he used better than any other person since WWII. I agree that there is very little difference between the two parties, but they do a great job of making it seam like they are worlds apart.
