I want to become a writer. I want to contribute knowledge and information and share it to others. But it is difficult to organize my thoughts. I tried it before but I lose hope about my dream. And again, I want to be a writer. can anyone help how to improve my skills in writing? Is there any ways that I could improve my skills? Thanks a lot and I appreciate your response. Happy My Lotting to all of us!

Hi there, I'm just like you. I just started in this writing gig. For a start I set up my own blog it's thinkinglog.wordpress.com.
This is a place where I write out my thoughts. Any thoughts and topics will do for now, that interest you.
From here it built my interest in writing. And this also help me cultivate the interest to write.
Next I started reading alot. And i start to join in any writers activities or forum.
Importantly, you need to feel your passion in writing. Try this hope it helps.
Best of luck!

At the moment, i dont earn any money on my writing as yet. As this requires commitment (Not that i'm afraid of commitment).
I'm writing to inspire myself and to gain some satisfaction on a certain level someday. To me writing is more than that, its about creativity, thoughts and the art of articulating.

If you want to become a writer you gotta start somewhere, meaning you have to start writing. If you do this consistently expressing your ideas will no longer be an issue.
As for me, I write too. I do this part-time. I just make it a habit to write at least a few articles a week.

Practice makes perfect. Though in the case of English there are a few tricks you can use to improve writing. Here are a few of my favorites:
If writing a suspenseful story, use elaborate sentences, then after try to use a 2-3 word sentence. Such as "He felt cold"
Utilize rhythm, people often mistake this for something you do in poetry. But it vastly improves anything. If something sound long and boring, people will not read it. Though if it sounds good and interesting, people will.
Be yourself, everyone has a unique writing style and you should let that show!
