Hii all, couple of days back there was a performance meeting held in my organization. Im supposed to be the most important person in my team. I perform most critical tasks and do 90% of work what the entire team together do. In this performance meeting my project manager while giving presentation to CTO, he has wrongly projected two people who doesnt even work in the team. He listed all my job profile under their profile and escalated as if they are the real workers. in this kind of situation what would be your reaction?? I was totally upset and stopped respecting my boss

oh that would probably be my initial reaction too. If i was in your position i would have not hesitated and go to my boss after the meeting or presentation and inform him that i felt hurt that the work I did, BY MYSELF was given credit to people who did not even offered to help me finish the job. i would demand an explanation and ask why he did this thing to me.
If i had to prove it, i would and im glad that when you save files it is saved under your "name" especially in documents, right? You have to be firm and let your boss know that you are a one man team there. if he needs to boot them out he should and not give them credit just so he can show to his bosses too that he is able to make your "team" work as one.

Just do your best in your job... someday, you will get the attention you need... You reap what you saw, isn't? Oh?! Am I correct?

what a really sad to hear horror story, it made me remember on what i`ve been through on one of my previous employer, the manager who lead me nearly has the same attitude to what you boss did, he always eager to report to the management that the work of mine was did by him and it`s done by his own idea and creativity, you know what ? you have to be patient and find some trick to such kind of boss because he might do some more bad thing to you. good luck
