why do you choose not to have a Facebook account?

yeah admittedly i don't have one either. Boo! almost all my school mates, my friends, my family are on facebook but it still surprises me that i'm not really so interested with it (yeah it really does surprise me). i can't say i'm not a lover of social networking sites because i have been myself a member of some. i'm on MyLot, i'm on Twitter,and i also find language learning social networking sites very fun to engage in and i also did Friendster before. networking-wise it can be beneficial but for me when they are used in ways that are not appropriate they really create hindrance to productivity.worse that i have seen, they created conflict and harmed relationships. In as much people try to control themselves, it has become too late already; they've become addicted to it already. i just want to spare myself of that. what are your views on not owning an FB acct? do you also share my sentiments?

I had bad experience with other social networking site. My photos was grabbed and claiming that they are my boyfriend, some become posers. I hate it! It so hard to trace your photos and report the user. I already learned my lesson so i rather post my photos here than in social networking sites.

Even if I have a facebook account, I don't use it. I signed up because I wanted to see some photos there. I couldn't saw them unless I had a facebook account.
I don't think I have enough time to be active on facebook, I like more to spend my spare time here, on myLot.

All of my friends and my school mates have a facebook account and i have too. I really like it to communicate with them with the help of facebook. I don't have account in other social networks like some other people that have accounts in 9-10 social networks. I just like to watching pictures and video.
