Would you buy an iPhone or an iPad???

I would prefer an iPhone because I would have more uses with it and it is portable. An iPad is nice but it is too big to carry around. For example, if I want to check my e-mail real quick and I don't have a phone that is capable of doing so, I have to get out the iPad. Nice to have an iPad at home or to school like a laptop, yes but not between the two. I do have an iPhone in fact but I really want the 4G because of the video call :)
