shortened hair in defence

I guess it's mostly to instill discipline. Also very long hair can become dangerous in war situations as previously mentioned.

Hey, Its done becoz the enemy cant cut yr throat by puling yr hair. Also long hair is a disadvantage in military u don't want to get picked by any distinct feature of yrs like hairstyle etc. In my school we were made to cut our hair like that and I use to hate it so much, but iam very fond of bald look now. It saves my time to comb hair and get me ready for work quicker, lol. Cheers, Tutul
