Do you receive electric assistance?

Through a program locally called the cap program with my low income I will be able to get approximately $48 dollars off my electric bill every month. That will be so awesome. I will be able to save about $50 each month. In the winter when the bill gets up to about $180 that will be a huge help when I am trying to save enough money up to keep the house warm with having to pay for the oil to heat the house. That costs me a lot of money. Do they have programs like this where you live? If so are you taking advantage of what the program has to offer? This is the first time I have ever tried applying for the cap program. I have an appointment on the 27th about getting signed up for it.

wow.. good for you. and good luck on the 27th.
we don't have that here as far as i know. but if ever we have, i'd sure apply for something like that. i agree that's a big help, considering these are hard times. $48 is a big amount here already, that's half of what im paying for my electricity bill.

Thanks for wishing me luck. Do you live in the United States? Right now my last bill was around $53 so with the $48 off it I would only have a few dollars to pay. But in the winter time with the furnance running my electric skyrockets. It will be over $100 so getting $48 off those large bills will be such a huge help!

Your welcome.
No i dont live in the United States, I'm here in Asia. I consider that $48.00 off a really huge savings... If i can get something like that here off my electricity bill that would be a big help for me. MY electricity bill goes like $60-$75 per month, it's too high here.

In asia I believe its very warm so you wouldnt need to run the heat very often I'm assuming. That would be great around here because we have to run the heater pretty much through 70% of the year. Its been about 50 lately and so I had to give in and turn the heat. I know this next months bill will be high but with the $40 some dollars off it will be a lot less then it would be.

No, my family does not qualify for the program. I'm glad you were though.
