I have a Sony DVD player and I would love to run movies on it which I downloaded from the internet by burning them into DVD rewritable cds. I am just confused with the formats required to make em run correctly on DVD player. So which format to be used .avi,.mpg or .vob?

The proprietary format for DVD is .VOB so you will need to convert your files to a DVD structure before you burn them. Everything you need to know can be found on this site http://www.videohelp.com/ Hope that is of help.

I bought a DVD player last year. And it has a USB port and you can play the videos from the USB disk. However, it can only play some AVI formats of videos. But it can't play RMVB and other video formats. If I have to watch the videos with other formats, at first I must convert the format. I love China
