embarrassment at work

Have you tried being embarrassed by your administrator? How will you deal with that situation? It happened to me the time I was absent from a meeting for some valid reasons.Beforehand, I personally asked permission from him but never permitted me.It may sound so unjust since I knew that he allowed my two co-workers to be excused.I insisted to go though he didn't allow me. Only to find out the next day that he called me hard-headed.Upon knowing it,I would've blown up.As a subordinate, I tried to understand him.But sometimes the situation haunts me and makes me feeling conscious. It affects my attitude at work.I am feeling humiliated.

My supervisor once scolded me in front of some clients. I kept quiet since at my end, I felt I need to show her what respect was all about. I didn 't rest the case though. I talked to HR about my problem with the supervisor and we met up at the office to settle grudges. I didn't know others had similar complaints about that supervisor but felt I needed to take a stand for myself. She was transferred to another branch eventually.

Good to hear that. Not only me but my colleagues also planned to report him to our main head. But I think no one's gonna do it.Everyone of us is afraid. The only thing we wait for is for him to be assigned or transferred to other institution.

I don't think there's any reason for someone in upper management, or your supervisor, to embarrass you. I think there's something wrong with that in my opinion. Don't you? I wouldn't let anyone embarrass me. I know what I'm doing, have gained some seniority in working for the same company for the past 3 years, and there is no reason for someone who feels like abusing their power - to put down someone who is "below" them, especially when there's no real reason for it. Forget him. Don't feel embarrassed.
