Is it really difficult to clean the bathroom and the toilet?

A good day to all, I am just really wondering if it is very hard to clean the toilet. Hence, almost a lot of people I met feels irritation when they are being assigned to clean that place. We are just renting a small room. The room which I am renting does not have an attached bathroom neither a toilet. The bathroom as well as the toilet is common to all who rent the place. And as agreed, the cleaning of the bathroom plus the toilet is to be on alternate week. However, as the weeks goes by, we noticed that the other room does not do any cleaning at all. As in, the bathroom and the toilet is very filthy. Since, I am not used to see a uncleaned bathroom and toilet and we are the one who will suffer if that place is dirty, so I did the cleaning. I scrubbed and brushed the walls and the floors and cleaned the toilet as well. What is your stand on this - is it really difficult to clean the bathroom or the toilet? Why there are some who really make this task so difficult? Is it really hard to do - the cleaning of the toilet?

Hi. airshelia. No. It is not that hard to clean the toilet. The only way it is hard is if a person makes it hard. If the toilet is very nasty, then it may take a longer time frame to clean it up completely.

A pleasant day to you Cream97, You are right. It will really take time to clean a very filthy place. But, it will be ease if they are doing their part. And that is to clean it also alternatively.

It's not difficult, but it could be gross especially when other people are using the toilet.

Well it is not difficult all things considered. I would see tedious be a more apt description when considering cleaning a toilet. Considering the bathroom is the most hated room for most people to clean, that is going be a chore that a lot of people do not. It is something that has to be done pretty much on a daily basis. Well, you don't have to, but it would be best if you do, because the toilet can really get very dirty, rather fast, especially if you have several people who use it on a regular basis. So yeah, its not that difficult. However, lack of difficulty does not mean that it is a tedious task. So it is something that many do not really like doing. Still it has to be done. With teeth gritted, but hey, its a a part of life. A part of keeping the house maintained and ensuring that it is nice as it was. Still, its not really that difficult, but a necessary evil.

For me it is not hard to clean the bathroom and toilet. It is up to you how you clean it and what the process you are applying to it. Also, having a detergent or cleaning chemicals can help easily remove the stain and germs... Enjoy cleaning your bathroom and toilet. Jesus loves you! God Bless.

I would say both bathroom and toilet are the same, they both are not easy to clean. I won't mind to clean any of them... I was trained to do house chores like washing the dishes, do the sweeping and especially the toilet and bathroom when I was just a kid.

It is definitely not a pleasant assignment to get to clean bathroom and toilets. More so when many people are using them. I do this dirty work at my apartment where only two of us use it. But still I feel irritated.

I like to clean a little bit of my bathroom everyday. I will put bleach down the toilet on a daily basis, and then one day I will clean the bath, the next I will clean the sink, and the third day I will clean the floor. So, everything gets cleaned every there days. I think some people tend to leave it until it's noticeably dirty before they do anything about it, meaning that they have a bigger job when they come to do it. So a lot of people's standards of hygeine tends to slip a little bit.

It not hard to clean a bathroom its the smallest room in the house aside from a closet, all a person has to bring the cleaning supplies put on some gloves and get to it The consequences of having a dirty bathroom far outweigh the advantages of keeping it clean the bathroom can harbor many germs and bacteria. Me personally....I can't stand a nasty bathroom I refuse to use one if it is thats one of the reasons why I try not to use public restrooms if I can help it unless they are very clean and not all of them are clean you can bet on that

I don't think that it is difficult to clean the bathroom at all. It's just not a task that most of us are fond. Who wants to spend their time scrubbing the toilet and bathtub? It is a chore that must be done though. We spend so much of our lives in our bathrooms. having a clean bathroom makes the world of difference.

It's not hard to clean the toilet or the bathroom. Just the lazy people that are lazy to clean thinks it's hard. I clean the bathroom even though my mom uses it and her bf uses it also and they don't clean it unless I'm away from home for the weekend. I don't like cleaning the bathroom, but it's not hard to clean and plus it's for our own good to clean it so we don't get sick. I couldn't stand a nasty bathroom. I would be using bleach at the whole bathroom until I see it's cleaned.

It's not really difficult. Would make it easier and faster if you do it weekly, some do it biweekly or even monthly which makes it harder because all the dirt has clumped up already.

Is it really difficult to clean the bathroom and the toilet? No, the others are outright nasty!! Well I would be livid and irate that I would continue to complain to the landlord, as if the tenants do not clean after themselves, you should not have to put up with it. But since you have to use it, I would be like you and clean it as often I could.

I have an experience like you have. Nobody wants to clean the toilet and it was only me who ever cleaned it. But in my case, it was nasty! My other boarding housemates left vomit on the sink, they leave the floor dirty because they carry their shoes inside the comfort room, they do not throw their trash well... The shampoo sachets are all piled up and sometimes, they get scattered on the wet floor. I know how much busy they are because I understand that they are 4th nursing students. But what kind of NURSING students are they who don't know how to clean??? I gave up. My roommate said to me, "Don't you clean it again. Let them clean their own stuff." I moved in to a new boarding house because I realized I was living in an unhealthy environment. I think nobody wants to clean it because when they look at the dirty bathroom, they don't disgust cleaning it. They rely on others to clean it. They do not want any dirty jobs.

No it is not hard to do. Unless you are lazy and would rather sit on a dirty toilet..which that sounds like the case. You might find out if there is a way that they will have to pay extra since they dont want to participate in the cleaning or just see if you can put a lock on the door and only the people that clean can get a key..haha that would be funny. But since that would never happen I personally would do what you did, cause I would still have to use it.
