Hockey season is again just around the corner. Soon television programs will be canceled or delayed due to overtime, talk at work with shift to the hockey game last night or last week, ect., etc. Do you like hockey? What is your favorite team? And who do you think has a chance to win the cup this year?

I live in Poland and I can't watch hockey live. I'm going to pick my favourite team to win the Cup-Ottawa.

Oh, thats too bad. Can you not watch it online, there are websites that offer free online hockey games. Just try to search for, live hockey online, I got hits for a couple of sites that offered free online hockey games.

I can't wait for the start of the season. I really wonder how the Canadian teams will play this season.
The leafs will probably lose most of the games again but I hope the Canucks will have a good year again with the Sedins. And I really like how Edmonton played the first Preseason games. They play for sure better this year.

Yep, its been a long time since a Canadian team made it to the final game and even longer since they won. Would be nice if a Candain team became a real threat again. Maybe Canucks will surprize some of their opponents this year.

I can't wait for the hockey season to start, and I am already getting sick of these meaningless pre-season games.
I am a canucks fan, and I think they have a good chance to go all the way this year with their additions at the back end. Hopefully the injury-bug doesn't hit them at all too much this season.

LOL, my brother calls those pre-season games the teasers. It would be great if they did win, I don't really have a favorite team but I like to see one of our Canadian teams win.

My ultimate favorite outside of Football which I can watch religiously is The Chicago Black-hawks.
I love watch it on TV and going to my neighborhood pub from time to time as a group of us get together, not so much for the drinking but to enjoy the wonderful game.
I love the trill of it and can pretty much watch any team.

Yep, lot of people I know go to the neighborhood pub to watch on the big screen. My brother and cousin bought their own big screen TVs, my brother says its for watching movies but I know he got it for the hockey, when its hockey season that's his TV and everyone else has to use the other TVs. He has been following hockey since he was a kid, he loves it! I can watch the game and sometimes watch with my brother, he is a big Boston fan. I like to raze him and say he's a trader cause we are Canadians but he don't care they have always been his favorite team. I kinda like our Maple Leafs but I don't say it too loud around my brother, LOL. I like watching it on TV sometimes but I would rather go to a game.

I live in the southern states and people rarely talk hockey down here. Unless it is to put down the Trashers... Er I mean Thrashers.
I am a Philadelphia Flyers fan. I have been since 86. I think they will certainly have a shot at getting to the finals again, but I am concerned about their goaltending yet again.
I think Pittsburgh, San Jose, and Washington all have a shot to get to the finals. It will depend on when the injury bug bites these teams and whether they are deep enough to overcome the lack of starters.

Yes, we have some funny names up here for some of the teams, lol. I know football is a big sport in the US, not here. Some like it but most are more interested in the hockey and as the seasons kinda overlap most lose interst in the football once hockey starts up. You hardly hear talk here of football, even during Superbowl time, guess everyone here is too busy worring about getting to the hockey games.
My brother is a big Boston Bruins fan, he has followed them since he was a child. His all time favorite player was Ray Bourque. I'd like to see the Bruins win, it would sure make my brother happy. I really don't have a favorite team. I like the Canadian teams, just because I believe we should stand behind one of our own teams, lol, my brother doesn't like me saying this, he says he would if we had one good enough.

You are so lucky! Down here in The States Hockey is rarely spoken of! I love , love hockey1 More than American Football! I have two favorites, The Red Wings and The Caps. A dream came true, they played each other in the final in my first full season of watching! That back in the day Stevie Y and my baby Shanny were wearing their Red Sweaters!I can't wait for the season to begin!

Oh! I had not realized that hockey isn't gabbed about so much in the US. That is too bad, here in Canada, everybody lives for hockey season, especially the men. hockey is the national sport here, much like baseball is in the States. I work at an office and its all my co-workers talk about during hockey season, especially during the play offs. We have a game size rink here as well and a local hockey team with a huge following, its crowded there on a hockey night. They even do the stomp, stomp, stomp on the bleachers you see on the TV games, lot of excitment.
