Enjoyment in life cannot be derived from material things one possess

Sometimes, after having filled our pockets with money out of our hardwork, we feel a measure of enjoyment but after spending it, no more. We start to feel quite empty seeking to have another to fill our pockets. But having close relationship with God, that is ultimately what brings true enjoyment in life, knowing that we please Him in all we do.

Beautifully said! There is nothing as wonderful as our relationship with God. Nothing comes close. It satisfies our every need and want. However, we need to work at this relationship for we live in a materialistic world. Most people are only concerned with things that do not satisfy and do not spend much rime with developing and growing their relationship with the One that can satisfy our heart's desires.

i would agree with you on this. people who have the best of material things will always not have enough... they will always feel there is something lacking, they will always want more things, they will always want more from other people, and they will always want to see more, go to more places, they will never be contented and will always go and find more spaces where they think they belong. But, when you have peace, but when you have God in your heart, you will forever have more than enough.

I agree! There are many rich people who are unhappy, because they think that material things will give them happiness and they never get enough. So in fact they are poor!! If we are friends with God, we feel safe, whatever happens, as He will take care of us.
