Mirror Of The Heart

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? (Jer.17:9)
Have you ever looked into a mirror of curved glass that was designed to distort the image it reflects? Perhaps you are short and stocky, but in the glass you look tall and lean. These "distortion mirrors" illustrate the human heart, which is totally unreliable in reflecting our spiritual condition. Our "heart mirror" is clouded with evil and completely awry with the serpentine twistings of the fall. It is wicked and deceitful above all things. That being the case, our text then inquires, "Who can know it?" (Jer.17:9). Certainly not man himself, for "he who trusts in his own heart is a foll" (Prov. 28:26). There is only One who can tell us anything about our true spiritual reflection, and that is God who searches our hearts (Jer. 17:10).

Our heart is the glass of our personality, we need to be mindful of what we are doing and what we are to others.. We can train ourselves to be humble without forcing opurselves and being arrogant..Thank you for reminding and sharing the word.

What we put in our heart is deceitful. We tend to tough even we are not..Only you and God know who you are and what you are. Being humble is not an issue as long you are willing to and you are not force to.. but let us always remember that we are what we say..

Your heart and consceince cannot safely guide, For they are darkened by the sin inside; But if you want to have a picture true, The word of God will mirror what is in you.

The Word of God is the mirror of the heart. When we look into the mirror we see ourselves..It reveals who we are.If we have dirts in our faces, these dirts are seen in the mirror. The Word OF GOd tells us we have dirts, our sinful nature. That's why nothing is in secret. The Word rebukes us and it is the heart that is hardened refusing what the Lord is saying. Still everytime we look into the 'mirror' we see the so called 'dirts'. Unless we remove it, our heart issues of distortion remain.
