It can have a few discouraging moments when discussions i have started have no reponse yet. i don't take it to heart though. No everyone is interested in expressing their views on every topic. We respond to what motivates us. That is good enough for me.

Hello!
definitely I will feel bad and some sort of sadness!
But I will not surrender...I will do my best to have the best discussion here at mylot!
I will do anything...considering every single data and areas here in mylot!
So to all the newbie...just continue...and soon you will see your fruit as a mylotter!

When i first come on here i had a few discussions and still have them on here with no response, these are the ones that will stay here with no response until a person answers them. There is away to get a response and that is to send the discussion to a friend and get them to respond to that discussion, that way there maybe other people that will end up answering it.

Hi! That is an good idea, we can send the discussion to our friends asking them to answer it...Did you actually doing this? I am just quite new in mylot and I think I will wait if my new discussion have no feedback after a month or what then I will do that...

Obviously not good thinking. I am not very happy when ever I don’t get answers.
Some time I create very good discussions and need the responses desperately. But unfortunately this is not possible each time to get the response in each discussion.

So far I have never posted a discussion that did not get at least one response. However it by no means important enough for me to consider my world going down the drain for such a insignificant, trivial occurrence!

If my new discussion receives no response at all, I definitely would feel a bit sad and ignored. It could make me wonder why nobody's interested or willing to comment about my discussion. This is one of my main reason why I rarely start discussions. In fact, the last discussion I started was years ago. I just wouldn't want to feel being ignored especially if I really need some advice. And I wouldn't go that deep like begging for responses or what. That's just it.
Best of luck

yspmyl when I was first here I had several but as soon as I r eally really responded to all the friends on myfriends list I had more responses than I ever expected. in other words respond to others then they will see you are wo rking here and really want to mylot and you will get tons of responses. try it and you will see it wor ks. You scrath their backs then they will scratch yours to use a silly metaphor. i felt sad so I made a discussion asking why I could not ge any responses and learned I needed to be active and show my friends that i REALLY wanted to mylot and that I read and responsed to their discussions.so then i never had one discussion that did not g et at least five respojnses and some are in the hundred category now. Respond to your friends and they will respond back.

Hi! Hatley,
I get what you mean. I will do as what you say, respond to friend discussion. Actually I did to respond to friends discussion, but I still do not get responses for some of the topic. I think my reputation here is still not good enough..I did feel a bit scared to start a new discussion, I scared that I will received a lot of responses, and I can't reply to them in one time to all of them. I will need to use a lot of time to respond to them one by one, some may be take me week to respond. This distract me a lot. So to post or not to post? It make me think and think to start a post.

I would feel a bit sad if no one responds to my discussions. However, I would feel disappointed if no one responds to my topic when it's a question that I would like to know the answer of. I do have a discussion just yesterday and no one has answered it yet. I guess either no one has the answer or no one has the same interest as mine. Aside from discussing several topics, I also use myLot to find answers to some of my questions.

That is what I will do as well. I don't put so much hope like you do. I would hope that just a few people reply to my post will do. And if no one respond to my discussion, I know that it is a bit too complicated for them. So next time I will make it more simple so that people can understand it better.

Yes that time I feel very bad. When I getting no any response for my discussions. I wait for getting at least one response. When I see that their will be no any response then I give my discussions link to one of my friends and then he give response to this discussion. Because I know well if your discussion will not be responding by at least one person then it will not be credited and counted in your postings.

When any of my discussions do not get any responses(luckily I have been able to survive that scare and have at least ONE response on all my discussions), I do feel upset about many things.
First, it says that my discussion was so very bad that no one felt like posting even the negative thoughts on it.
Second, it reflects that I am not a good person when it comes to creative attractive headings for my discussions.
Third, I should have some more friends who would stay with me no matter what.
Happy MyLotting

I wouldn't think that it is that scary when no one respond to my discussion...:) I never thought there will be no one responded to my post one day, I believe one day, sure will be someone who will have the same interest that discover my post and responded to it. I am an optimistic person and I will not really feel sad if my new discussion have no respond all. I will just let it be and believe someone will respond to it one day. I too agree if we have more friend here, we would probably will get at least one respond to the discussion.

I did post a discussion some time back. Seoul, south Korea...I am coming. But this discussion has not had any comments. I do not feel anything about it but i did just think that there are no myLotters from South Korea. The worst think is that a discussion cannot be deleted.

I think to myself, ..."Wow!..that one really bombed".
I try not to take it too personal but do feel a little let down. Not all posts will garner a reply.
I usually sit and wonder what was it that caused the flop. Was it the question,.... was it how it was phrased,..... was it politically incorrect, ....was it against the TOS and no one will touch it............. well you get the idea...LOL

Ahah! yes, you have trigger me on the idea. I might have posted something that have break the rules and no one dare to reply to it, but wait, it was not being deleted after few day.. So, it should be fine and obey the rules. I think it might be too tough for mylotters to understand?...It might be true...

Fortunately for me, that hasn't happened to any of my discussions as of yet. It doesn't mean that it will never happen, but so far so good. I don't start all that many discussions anyway, as it is much easier for me to respond to other discussions, as I don't have to think about a topic to discuss, which can be difficult at times. I think though that if it would ever happen to me, I would be disappointed, but then I would come to the realization that I just didn't post an interesting enough of a discussion to get responses. I wouldn't give up though, and just hope that the next one I post, will be more interesting and get responses. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Wow! It never happen on you? I guess you must be very good in posting new discussion. You must be know how to post an interesting and easy understand topic. Me too, I prefer to respond to discussion than to start a new discussion, at least I don't need to worry whether I'll be able to reply to all the responses from mylotters when respond to discussion but not when I start a new discussion. I believe when we do it seriously we will be able to do it well enough.
