What do you think the future holds for you?

I'm only 21 but I am already thinking about my future. I am takin steps to ensure that I have a better life than my mother has because that's the whole reason why she brought us to this country. I want to make sure that I not only can provide for myself in the future but I can also help her out as well. I hope that in the near future I am able to get my own apartment and strike out on my own. I want to know what it's like to live myself already and be even more independent than I am right now. I also want to have a career as a writer and an actress. I don't necessarily want to be extremely famous and earn billions but I want to be on Broadway doing what I like to do and getting paid for it. So right now I'm doing my best to do what I have to do to ensure that and each day I'm taking those steps. What do you think the future holds for you? Are you working each and every day on making sure that what you want for the future happens?

I don't know what the future holds, but I think with positive attitude to everything and everyone, and with working for your dreams, the future will be bright :-) But we have to fight for our dreams and work for our future, not sit and wait for miracles...

You're absolutely right. We just can't sit around and wait for someone to just hand us our dream job or whatever we want. We have to work hard to get what we want and that's what I try to do every day although it's hard some days because I get tired.

I think that when we approach everything with positive thoughts, everything will be much easier in our life. Positive attitude combined with motivation and work! Wishing you lots of good luck in all that you do, ayumitakashi! Lots of success for the future and all the best! My very best wishes

i don't plan excessively for the future.... because it's something that is too unpredictable.... i mean of course, i take precautions and i do make plans, but i don't overly do it and i don't rely too much on it because changes can happen anytime...in fact we can die and lose our life along with everything at Any moment.... so i make sure i enjoy everyday of my life, with the important people with me now....and just make sure i love the people i love the best way i can before i go.

I do the same as well but it's important for me to have goals that I can work towards. I'm not saying that I'm planning every detail of my future but I do have goals that I want. I want to have my own apartment and have a successful career. Those are the two goals that I am focusing on right now.

Hi there Ayumi Takashi! I think that's really great. Everyone should be able to know the importance of preparing for one's future especially if you have a dream career or if you're planning to have your own family. Sometimes, it stops being just about you but becomes something about you and your loved ones. I am hoping to be a professional teacher in a couple of years. May God bless you and may you be successful in your chosen field.

Yeah there comes a time when you have to think of others as well. I wish you all the best as well in your path to being a professional teacher. Good luck and take care!

I do hope my future will be happy and bright. But, I do not have the gaurantee on that. May be the astrologer would have better idea. But, any way, I would keep trying my best in the ways I can to make my life peaceful, happy, and pleasant.

hi ayumitakashi you have a good head on your shoulders to plan ahead while you are young. I hope it all c omes very true for you too. a career as a writer and actress will need the sort of preparations'you sound like you are making.,Doingwhat you like to do makes work just plain fun. I have no idea what the future holds for me now as I am 84 butI would like to get my autobiography finished and maybe sold. thats my only ambition now.

Thanks so much Hatley! I try to do best because I want to be succesful, that's the whole reason my mother came here to this country so that my siblings and I could have a better future. I chose two careers that are very hard to break into so yeah I'm preparing myself for rejections and a hard path to getting callbacks and my books being rejected. It's really cool that you are working on an autobiography and planning on getting it published. I wish you all the best with that!

To be honest, I really don't know. I can guess, but everything we do or don't do in a day changes the future. I think in the future I'll be an elementary school teacher because that's what I'm going for, but who knows? something might happen where I can't be a school teacher or where I don't want to be one anymore.

You're right things do change. But I already know what I want my future to be right now. Something may happen to derail my plan but I know that I'll probably have a new plan and I'll work with what I have. Happy mylotting!

Absolutely. I am doing my best to have a better future, not only for me and my family, but also for my wife and children that will come (but I haven't married anyway). But, because of my blindness, I have to work harder because even it's very difficult for a person with non handicap to earn money from their jobs, so I have to make it double. Good luck for you, and for us all!

I wish you all the best in the world! I'm glad that you are thinking about your future family just like I am thinking of helping my mother in the future. It's good to have plans and goals because you have something to focus and you already know where you want to go in life.

We should not worry a lot about future, coz one day there will not be any future to worry about. We need to manifest our thoughts. Rather than thinking we need to act, start making images of our future as success and we will be successful in life.

I think that we should worry about the future but also live in the past. There should be a balance of both. You need to have certain goals so that you know where you are going to go in life. But that's just me I guess.

hmmmmm, it depends on what you want, and who you are, i guess, we can choose a way to go, and when choosing we can figure out how will be our future, i dont know, sometimes i think like that, but, sometimes i have no idea.
