So far I'm using social networking sites such as Facebook & Twitter, I also post on forums, used a site called link referral, and ping my blog to pingomatic. However, i'm not seeing much results. What methods do you use to get traffic to your site?

It is a difficult job to get traffic to your blog becasue there are many bloggers but there is none to read a single blog. There are many blog directories where you can submit your blog, some are free of cost & some are paid ones. Besides, you are doing the right job by visiting different forums, pinging your blog on pingomatic etc. Another method is regular posting of articles on your blog. You may visit my profile. But whatever you do, it is very, very difficult to get sufficient traffic.

I do that too but let's face it it's slow traffic still. There is stumble upon, delicious, digg and reditt, but I still have to try them all. See how it works and how to gain readers through this sites. They also suggest to create a mini press release but i do not know how to go about it.

I myself used digg, stumbleupon, twitter, facebook, delicious and all you can think of but the traffic is average.
The best way is to actually create a really, really good post or article and put backlink there. Use it to backlink to your other articles.
This is the best way to increase your traffic. The rest is just for temporary but nothing is permanent.
