Anyone else feelling the pressure in school already?

I am taking two english classes and two literature classes this semester as well as a Tap class and I am already feeling the pressure. I'm not really feeling the pressure from the tap class as much because it's fun to go to that class and learn routines. I think that after taking this class I might continue to take more tap classes outside of school. The other classes are really putting the pressure on me because for both english and literature classes there is a lot of reading and writing. I'm an English major so I knew what I was getting myself into but it's a lot of work! Right now I'm just taking it one assignment at a time and like Jay-Z said "on to the next one". Any other students out there feeling the pressure already? And if so, from what classes?

It's good to practice handling pressure. Remember if it gets too much, that you do deserve a break once in awhile! I'm not a student at the moment, but I'm feeling a lot of pressure as I am trying to meet multiple freelance writing deadlines (I was an English major too!) while taking care of a 3 month old baby and trying to keep the house clean, as well as trying to find time to sell Avon products and still see family and friends occasionally. As cliche as it sounds, using an agenda religiously will help you plan your time and avoid pressure. Good Luck!

I also had felt pressure during my younger days at school. I think you should try to get combined studies. It is one of the best way to get the education going. I think when our friends helps us it really helps our task better. I think you must try for group studies where one person reads the topic to another, etc.

Thanks for the response. I don't really have any friends in college that I'm close too. It's hard because I'm a commuter and most of the students live there at the college so I only know like two people. And the two people that I do know aren't taking classes that I'm taking, they are doing different majors than I am. I'm majoring in English with a concentration in Literature and Language and a minor in dance and another minor in theatre arts. Thanks and happy mylotting!

I think you should try to find friends in the college. College is one place you can meet lots of people and find one or two good friends among them.

It's never to late to get an education and I love that you went back to college! Good for you! Doing a BA in English takes a lot of reading and writing and I should know about that but it just takes a lot of patience to get through classes like that. And yeah there are times when I also have fun while reading some of the material that my professors assign for class.

There are many times that I am feeling the pressure of school. I only have one class this session at school but it is one that is causing me a lot of headaches. It might as well be two or three classes with the difficulty. I'm just glad that it is the only one I had to deal with. I have no idea how I used to balance three, four, five classes or whatever at once. That just seems like another time, a long time ago. However, this programming class, it is a lot of tedious work. I am managing to get a good enough grade by most standards. No matter how I try, I think that my work is lackluster, as my patience really does depend on the day a lot of the time. I guess if I did have another class or two to complement this one, I would be freaking out a lot more, so perhaps I should count my blessings. I think if I knock it out of the park on the finals, I should be more than okay. For right now, I just got to survive.

Yeah you just have to hang in there for a while until you finish this semester. You're lucky you only have one class even though it's hard like you said, imagine if you had four more classes on top of that class that you are taking right now? You would go crazy!

Wow well I wish you the best of luck. I am working my hardest to increase my GPA this semester because then I can take more than the 18 credits that I'm allowed to take. I need to take more classes these upcoming semesters so that I can finish school already. I want to finish so badly already. Good luck with all your classes and remember to at least take a minute or two to just stop and breathe.

so wonderful for your study . when i am a student , and my parents arrange so many class for me , and no happyness here day and day . find that language is a tool to communicate not just study . so class more is not a good thing in my opinion . just try to use it not just study it . this is language . thank you.
