what kind of handle care your laptop... about viruses install antivirus on it, and keep up to date the virus definition files. always scan before installing any programs. usb drives are well known also for infected viruses. just by plugging in a usb drive with a virus will make your laptop infected already.

the best anti virus i can suggest you is avast pro. I think its the best available in the market. I doesn't slows down your system plus removes every virus and also has sheduled boot scan. I have been using this anti virus for almost 3 years and found it the best.
