I don't write for money online because I haven't found a site that pays correctly for well written material. Too many people accept a small one time payment which really isn't worth the time and effort, when they should be looking towards signing a contract and earning a retainer and royalties.

Petersum, not everybody wants to make a living from their writing, but you're partly right. If you want to earn a living, the pay is usually better if you write for print publications. But there are people who do make a living writing for online venues. I know that there are several people who write for Associated Content and do very well. Of course, they write steadily and have learned to do it quickly and with an eye to SEO. Most people, like me, aren't that ambitious and are content to write at a less hectic pace and make less money.

Writing has been my favorite hobby since my high school years, and is still is. I enjoy writing articles, short stories, reviews, commentaries, and so on. I do write online as a way of relaxation while enjoying my hobby. One of the sites I am with is "Review Stream". One can write brief reviews there, things one comes across in the day-to-day activities, shopping, movies, restaurants, travel, hotels, and so on, and get paid when the review submission is approved. I have been paid regularly for writing reviews there.

Helium and Triond and Review Stream are the site I write for. I like writing for them because I've actually gotten paid by them and that extra money has helped me buy stuff that I've wanted.

Over the course of time there have been places I have wrote for online, and sometimes have done quite well, and others were just as a Hobby. But overall I would have to say it has been interesting for sure. I have written for Associated Content, and a few other sites and also consider myself a Writer here in myLot. I have been considering actually submitting some of my stuff elsewhere to like magazines, etc. that pay and see if something could ever get accepted there as well.

Considering that anyone who reads this is probably a member of this site, we naturally all write for money. I am writing for other sites like AC as well as I need to make more money that what this site pays for the work that I do. I enjoy writing online and I am hoping that it helps me to get a part time town reporter job. I think that it makes for great experience in a field that there is normally not a lot of places to get experience.

Yes, I do. I write for several sites in fact. I do the best on Associated Content and Factoidz.com, but I make a bit of modest number writing on other sites like Firehow and Triond. I used to write a lot for Ehow when they were still allowing articles, I still make cash out on there every other month even though I have not put up any new articles there so that is not bad considering I do no work there any more and still get paid. I wrote one article for Demand Studios. I made $15.00 which was rather nice.

Check the tasks here on Mylot. They often have well paying tasks to write articles.

I used to write a fair number of article for pay, but I got pretty bored with it, and hardly do it these days. I made a decent amount writing for Digital Journal and Associated Content. I still write for Associated Content once in a while, but I've been concentrating on fiction for the last year. I should write more because I could certainly use a bit of a boost to my income, but money isn't very good at motivating me. I need to enjoy my writing or I can't do it.

I have written for TextBroker but I will tell you the pay is low at first. They ask you to write a sample for them and then they rate your writing. A fairly good site to wet your feet. Demand Studios isn't bad but some of the editors are very very picky. But you get paid a decent price for your article.
