What is more likely to destroy us all - science or religion?

In my opinion, science and religion are equally likely to be "the thing" that would endanger us all. When I talk about science in this way, I don't mean weapons speicfically, but science as an actual reason for a world war. One example would be the current crisis between the United Nations and nuclear-equipping countries such as North Korea and Iran. The fear here is that these countries will equip with nuclear weapons, and then use them. Hence science as a reason for going to war. On the other hand you have religion as a reason for going to war. Either you have religion versus religion or religion versus atheism. I would be interested to hear different viewpoints on this.
