i think people should have as many dogs as they want as long as they are able to take care of them properly. but people that have so many dogs that they can can't care for them, or don't have enough room for them, should restrict themselves to as many dogs as they have room for. people that can't afford to to feed their dogs well enough should only have keep as many dogs as they can feed well enough to keep them healthy. anyone who truely loves animals, will limit themselves to only as many pets as they can keep healthy by keeping veternarian appointments, feeding them properly, and providing them with as much area as they need to roam and play.

A pleasant day to you Laken02,
Having a pet at home is amiable to look at.
With reference to your query, it depends on the person who will going to take care of the dogs. As you have said on the first sentence of your discussion, they can have as many dogs as they want provided that they have the capacity to take care all of them.
However, there are times, the capacity is not the main issue. What matters is, the cleanliness of the habitat. Pets are also entitled to have a clean surroundings for this reason, if there are too many of them, the place might become crowded and not healthy anymore.

Good evening dear Laken02 , ohh well i am a great and big Dogs lover , i consider them verry great animals , verry trustworthi and verry afectionate , well i have a small dog and to be honest , if you really love your dog , you need to treat him like a human , since it needs verry much atention , love and recognition , thats how i treat my dog , for my its like a little baby , that needs a lot of atention , i give her ( i have a female dog sooo cute ) verry much credit , because she is soo smart and cute , and i cann swear to you that because of the fact that i have paid atention and still do , the relationship between me and her its of a big evolution , since she is everywhere i am , and she will never leave without me , i am walking her without a leach.
Well to answer your question , by the thingz i said before , my opinion is that one dog is more then enough for one person.
Have a great evening dear Laken02

Just enough as one can afford financially and emotionally, plus the factor of the size of your house. Having dogs is just like having kids, it needs proper attention and proper care.

I think this all depends on the level of income of the potential dog owner! I guess it's nice to have more than one dog but only if you can give the same level of care to both animals otherwise you will start going down the path of animal neglect. I think that two dogs is probably adequate for most people. The thing is, it can pose a potential problem for your neighbours if you have more than one dog and the dogs are constantly barking and annoying your neighbours, not that it's any of their business but all the same, it can cause serious neighbourly problems.
I love animals and particularly dogs and I really wish that I had a dog of my own but I just don't have the income to support a pet dog. I could sure do with some of the comfort that a pet dog brings to the home though! I think that owning a dog is a huge responsibility and careful consideration should be taken into whether the dog or dogs are going to be looked after carefully. Andrew

People should be able to own as many dogs or pets that they can feed, train, care for(vet bills, walk, pay attension to everyday) and keep them warm / cold.
REMEMBER ALWAYS LUV, TRAIN/ CARE FOR YOUR DOG/ PET, THEY WILL ALWAYS LUV U.

I agree with you. People should only have as many dogs as they can take care. I only have one dog with me right now because I doubt I can take on more dogs and I take care of my mother's dog as well sometimes by buying it food and treats. It would be unfair to have a huge amount of dogs and you can't give them the proper care and love that they deserve. I love my dog very much and I give her all the care in the world and I take care of her. I may not be rich or financially well off but when I do have money I spoil her with treats and toys. When I get my own apartment where I'll have more space I'll probably get another dog but it depends if I can really take care of another one. It really depends on a person's situation. I mean if you have a huge farm and you have enough money to feed your dogs then by all means go ahead and get as many as you want, but treat them well.

As with children, I don't think it should be up to anyone to set a limit. If they are capable of taking care of them properly and can afford to take care of them then they should be allowed to own as many as they want. They really are not much different than having kids and some people I know should not have any while others can raise and care for several perfectly fine.

I think as long as the people can look after, aswell as afford to have the dogs,i can not see why they can not have as many dogs as they want.I think that if they live near people then they should also ensure that the dogs do not bark, get into other peoples gardens or are able to escape out of their own gardens.I have three dogs that are regularly taken to the vets, aswell as cared for,if anything my dogs are over fed every day.

There really is no limit to how many pets one person can have as long as they treat them properly. As long as all the pets get proper care and remain healthy, the person should be able to own as many pets as they would like!

People can have as many as they want if they can take care of them. Get 100 dogs if you want, just make sure you can take care of them.. But realistically speaking I don't know many people who could handle more than 2 dogs. I can't handle more than 1.. and if you had kids I'd imagine that would make it more difficult.

I think so with dog people because, they want you there to guard the inhabitants, their houses.
