Hi everyone!!
I go to work everyday, and I use the public transport, first I go on train and the the bus. But, that trip is always a nightmare. I go on the peak hours, where everyone is trying to get in time to their jobs, and so much people do use those transports. Here, the system is totally collapsed, people travel in trains like livestock, the trains always come late, the buses are overcrowded and don't stop me, and so have to wait half an hour to get a bus where we can merely breathe inside.
Is that the same in your contry? How do you feel with the public transports services?

the transpot in our country needs a lot of improvement actually. it is not as advisable as other countries' maybe. it helps us get through the day for our work though.
there are trains, about 3 lines intersecting lines of destinations but the no. of trains have to be improved as it can get really crowded inside the train you can't move a finger. if you ride the bus, you will be stuck in traffic for hours.

hi , i live in davao city , that's in the philippines . our city is not that crowdwd yet so we have less commuters and traffic . We ride in a public utility jeeney within the city and the public utility bus outside the city. Compared in Manila , that is the capital city of Philippines , traffic are everywhere and transport system is always crowded with commuters . That's why i always like Davao city.

It is just same thing goes here in Manila where people in trains are crowded during rush hour to the extent that it is really hard to take a transportation. Then if you are going to take a bus on high ways it is gonna be a big traffic.

Well, it is actually a bit complicated where I live. There are several different services, provided by several different companies and in different forms. Some are good, and some are really horrible, so you need to know what kind of public transport to take!

The same situation in Beijing. When go to work everday, in subway or bus, all crowded people. You can't imagine, but you know it takes some measures such as limit line, the traffice also bad. It's terrible.

yes i think it's the same problem we encounter here in our country. There wouldn't be enough public transportation for this so much people. beside the lack of it the discipline of the people and traffic is also almost impossible to overcome. well now the government is working on another transportation way, I'd really hope it would get better.

Our public transport is not bad here at all. We only have bus and taxi service. You can usually always get a bus, at peak times they are crowded and you sometimes have to stand but that is usually only when the high school students go in in the morning and after school. The buses usually run every 15 minutes during peak hours. Of course you can also take a taxi cab, there are many of these running throughout the day but cost more. It is good here but we are probably a much smaller city than where you live. :)

well, in Shenzhen China, the public transport is convenient but over crowded in rush hour, people is struggling everyday. the govt is developing more buses due to the 2011 Universiades and the roads are being repairded. But too many private cars become a burden and cause heavy traffic jam. Sometimes I think wasting too much in bus is killing my time but has no choice, or I'd take a helicopter to job. haha

Some are good, some aren't.
In Indonesia, the best public transportation is Busway. It is like a minibus with its private track, so no other cars may use it. The bus itself has air conditioner and the chair is very comfortable.
The other public transports? Well, it's just standard, the same like what you can see in another country.
I think what makes Indonesian public transportation bad is because the drivers do not pay attention to regulation. They always pick up passengers even though the transport is full, so we have to stand improperly.

no public transport here is one of the best systems in the world... there are lots of busses .. for example there may be 30 buses that go to the same route.. for example from Toronto to Ottowa, there may be 30 buses that take the same route... and each bus comes after 10 minutes after each one... so you ae never late and because there are so manu buses you never feel too crowded... and the trains are also good.. they are really fast you have lots of space in them.. and they are good.
I hope the country you live in India.. its public transport becomes good... Same with Pakistan

If I go to work or school, I won't use the public transport. Because I'll be late. When I was in high school, I went to school by bus. I had to get up early to go to the bus station. If I went later, I couldn't catch the bus because they were very crowed, the driver didn't stop. Many times I went to school late, I decided to leave school that day because I was afraid of being punished. If I visit the city, I'll go by public transport because it is very economical and relax.

Hi RamRes!
I live in Southern California, USA and there are public transportations (bus, train, coaster, sprinter) however I do not take public transportation because I do not see it as convenient for me because my times vary day to day as I am a full-time college student. Some days, I have class- I get out early, late, stay after and I do not want to depend on the public transportation. I am a female so it is not really safe to walk by myself at night if I decide to come home late. I believe it easier for me to just drive my car to school. I feel that public transportation is great for those who do not have cars, cannot drive, do not want to drive because they are trying to go green or for what ever the situation is.
