do you believe in the research that social networkins sites like facebook and twitter makes a person anti-social? i think their wrong, its a networking site as name implies, one makes friend and interact with others so why can they say so? what's your opinion guys?

It depends given the age range and the activities involved. For example, older users of Facebook/Twitter actually have more opportunities for socialization because these websites are casual enough to be used for the quick get-together or meet-up, even with users whom they have only a partially acquainted with.

I agree, facebooking or other social networks, is not really like socializing at all. We sit behind our computer screen and type messages to each other, how is that really socializing, its like writing letters or talking on the phone. True socializing occurs when a group of friends get together to do some social activity. Also, when spending time online on social networks like FB we are doing less with our friends away from the computer. When we do not spend time actually doing something with our friends we are considered anti-social.
